Julianne Hough And Brooks Laich’s Marriage Hasn’t Been Great For Months

January 9, 2020 / Posted by:

Yesterday we learned that Julianne Hough might be doing the pasodoble to the nearest divorce lawyer’s office, because it’s rumored that her marriage to her former hockey player husband Brooks Laich could be over after about two-and-a-half years. It appears as though both Julianne and Brooks have been leaving little breadcrumb clues for us to collect, like they’re the Hansel and Gretel of celebrity splits. Those hoping for Julianne and Brooks to just come out and say “WE’RE DONE” are going to be waiting a little longer. Because sources say that they’re not ready to do that anytime soon, despite other sources saying their marriage hit the skids a while ago.

Julianne hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring, and Brooks is over on Instagram talking about new beginnings and being “boundless” in 2020. A source tell People magazine that no one close to them should be at all surprised by this most recent relationship development, because it’s not really that recent.

“They’ve been having problems for months. She’s very independent and a free spirit, and that’s been tough for Brooks and their marriage.”

A second source describes their situation as more of a bump in the road.

“It seems they are not giving up, but also not talking about it. They want to do this their way. They don’t want to discuss their marriage. They have been having problems, but many people do”

That source makes it seem like Julianne is about to put her wedding ring back on while Brooks records a podcast titled Bound 2…My Hot Wife: An Introduction To S&M. However, that would require them to be in the same place at the same time, and a source tells Us Weekly that’s unlikely to happen.

“They definitely have been going through a rough patch,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They have both been in different places for work so they haven’t been able to spend as much time together this past few months.”

Brooks has been back at home, while Julianne is off preaching the gospel of Kinrgy. Even when they’re home together, it’s not great, due to the death of their two dogs, Lexi and Harley. Both dogs passed away on the same day back in September, and they’re both still grieving that. I can see how they don’t really want to do the whole married couple thing when they do finally find themselves under the same roof. It would be such a bummer to sit down on the bed, ready for sex, and hear your partner sniffle, “Aww…that’s where Harley humped the duvet after Lexi rubbed her butt on it.”
