Open Post: Hosted By Karlie Kloss Trying Very Hard Not To React To A Joke About The Kushners

Last night’s episode of Project Runway proved two things. One, that a shady read about her in-laws is all it takes to freeze Karlie Kloss’ internal professionalism processor and cause a model reaction malfunction. And two, that if Project Runway is going to give us moments like this, it really shouldn’t be cancelled.

On Thursday night’s episode, contestants were tasked with creating a chic upcycled look for Karlie to wear to a CFDA event in Paris. Contestants picked up $150 worth of items at Goodwill and got to work. Unfortunately for contestant Tyler Neasloney, judge Brandon Maxwell crapped all over his design. Not only wasn’t it good enough for a CFDA event, it wasn’t even fit for Karlie to wear while scrubbing her toilet. Tyler was clearly feeling brave last night and he responded to Brandon’s critique by dragging Karlie’s in-laws to Mood Fabrics and back.

Brandon: “I cannot see Karlie wearing it anywhere, honestly.”

Tyler: “Not even to dinner with the Kushners?”

Karlie’s face responded with emotions, ranging from “Oh shit” to “Yes please, MORE” to “Thank god they only watch Fox News.” Karlie is both fully enjoying it and turning her head far, far away from the line of drama. Sadly, Tyler’s journey as Project Runway 18’s sassiest mouth came to an end, and he was eliminated.

Karlie is married to Joshua Kushner, whose brother is Jared Kushner, yes-man to Donald Trump and husband of Ivanka Trump. Karlie and Joshua have attempted to position themselves as the non-evil Kushners. So essentially, Tyler was beyond-shady for that comment. But he’s also lucky he got to leave on such a high note. Because Karlie’s non-answer was a whole lot kinder than if she had answered that no, she wouldn’t even wear his outfit to dinner with that tacky bitch Ivanka.
