Robert Pattinson Says He’ll Do Art House Porn If “The Batman” Is A Flop

Robert Pattinson recently did an interview with The Guardian where he talked about how he doesn’t know how to act and promises that if The Batman becomes an Affleck-like disaster, he’ll enter into the world of art house porn. Which based on his own assessment of his acting abilities, I guess we have more art house porn to look forward to in 2020!

Robert says he doesn’t like to work hard leading up to films in fear that his spontaneous fluke of good acting happens when the cameras are not rolling. Honestly, his laziness and embracing his mediocrity may be the hottest thing I’ve heard in a long time. His approach to acting is basically how I approached all my tests in both high school and college and probably why I went to a college whose motto was: “Can’t nobody tell me nothin!”

And he tends not to work hard in the lead-up to filming, because what if he somehow conjures some very good acting before an actual take, and can’t reproduce whatever spontaneous fluke that created it when the cameras roll? “If I show it in rehearsals,” he says, “then it’s doomed to failure immediately.

Robert also talked about how he’s a catastrophist and he thinks his world will fall apart at any moment and everyone will discover he can’t act and he’ll be seen as a fraud. I have no idea if Robert is acting like he has imposter syndrome or he’s actually this insecure, but it does look like he’s going to make Batman fun! What the worlds needs now is an insecure Batman! Show that little bitch Robin that he doesn’t get to be the needy one all the time.

Maybe he’s tired now. Or maybe he’s had a bad day. Maybe he’s arriving at the studio every morning and not quite getting Batman’s vibe. Maybe he’ll never get Batman’s vibe, and people will finally agree he really can’t act, and his career will come screeching to its inevitable end, and the whole world will fold in on itself.

Which are the kind of thoughts Robert Pattinson has.

“I’m a catastrophist,” he says, laughing. Pattinson laughs a lot and goes for it: closes his eyes, throws back his head, reveals the square jaw and the fine stubble and the underside of the slightly skew-whiff nose, and lets out a loud, unfiltered giggle. “I’m always thinking that the worst-case scenario is actually going to happen. So when it does happen, I’m like: ‘Gah! OK! I’m prepared!’”

Well, at least Robert Pattinson is prepared for a disaster. Poor Ben Affleck never saw it coming and really, thank god or we would never have been blessed with the Sad-Affleck interview.
