The Internet Dragged Kourtney Kardashian After She Got A Dog For Christmas

December 27, 2019 / Posted by:

No, Scott Disick didn’t pop out of Kourtney Kardashian’s stocking like, “Hey babe, I’m back and I’m mostly all yours for the next 12 to 18 months!” She got a literal dog. Kourtney surprised her family with a purebred golden retriever on Christmas morning. And that wouldn’t be a problem, except for the fact that the internet was very quick to point out that Kourtney already has a dog that hasn’t exactly been seen in person recently. Is Kourtney the Kardashian version of Justin Bieber? Some people on the internet thought so.

Kourtney posted several pictures of her family’s new puppy with the caption: “But what should we name her?

But what should we name her?

E! News says that Instagram users were more than happy to offer up suggestions. Like, “Temporary,” as one user suggested. Because Kourtney “never keeps” her dogs, apparently. Plenty of Instagram users weren’t so interested in Kourtney’s new dog as they were in wondering what happened to her old dog, Honey. Almost two and a half years ago, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian bought two pomeranian puppies named Honey and Sushi for their daughters Penelope Disick and North West. Honey (Kourtney’s dog) even made an appearance in a late-2017 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. And then…Honey sort of went away.

A few people in Kourtney’s comment section asked loudly if she had abandoned Honey and replaced her with a newer, cuter model. Some also criticized her for buying a dog instead of adopting or rescuing one instead. Kourtney doesn’t care that you think her golden won’t be around to see next Christmas. E! News says she slapped back at all the dog haters in her comments with the following assurance that Honey hadn’t been dumped on an assistant or donated to an animal shelter.

“Wow so much negativity. we still have Honey, but thanks for your assumptions. I’ll assume Santa wasn’t good to you, hence your vibes.”

Maybe the haters were hating because the Kardashian-Jenners don’t have a great reputation when it comes to pet ownership. Here’s a helpful pet timeline, courtesy of The Daily Mail:

– The Kardashian-Jenner family’s chihuahua, Dolce, was killed by a coyote.
Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom bought a boxer named Bernard, who was given away after they split up.
– Kim and Reggie Bush bought a boxer named Rocky, who was also given away after they split up.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner gave Khloé an Australian Shepherd named Jackson; Jackson’s whereabouts is unknown.
– Rob Kardashian gave Kendall a great dane named Blue; Blue’s whereabouts is unknown.
– The Kardashian-Jenner family has owned four Labradors: Harley, Gabbana, Louis, and Vuitton. Gabbana died of old age in 2018. Louis and Vuitton’s whereabouts is unknown.
– Kim adopted a kitten named Mercy, who was given away shortly after she was purchased. Mercy later died of kitty cancer.
– Kourtney owns a rabbit named Snowflake (Snowflake is reportedly still around).
– Kendall has owned a snake, a Doberman, and a Greyhound named Mew.
– A peacock was adopted by Khloé, who reportedly left it with the new owners of her home when she moved out
– Kylie Jenner currently has dogs named Penny, Bambi, Norman, Ernie, Sophia, and Wesley. She also has a chicken named Eddie. Kylie reportedly still owns all her pets.

Also, Kourtney bought her son Mason a Bengal cat named Charli for Christmas several years ago; that cat was reportedly given away when her son Reign was born.

Kourtney could have really shut the haters up by posting a picture of Honey cuddling under the Christmas tree with her new big-little sister. But she didn’t do that. Hmmm, I wonder why? Maybe Honey decided to spend the holidays out of town. I don’t blame her. Dogs have super-heightened hearing. And hearing all the Kardashian-Jenners vocal fry out, “Oh my god, another Birkiiiiiiiiiiiiin???” all morning would cause the world’s worst canine migraine.
