Sally Field Got Arrested At “Fire Drill Friday”

Jane Fonda has had her ass locked up 4 times while trying to follow in Greta Thunberg‘s footsteps and get us to stop killing the planet. But now she has to be careful, because one more arrest could mean a lot more time in the clink. But she’s expected to protest next week, and it hasn’t stopped Jane from still bringing along famous friends to get arrested for her! Enter: Sally Field.

TMZ says that Sally Field got handcuffed and dragged away during Fire Drill Friday, a protest in Washington D.C. to bring attention to climate change. Every weekend the politicians at the capitol can expect Miss Fonda to hassle them with her famous friends.

This time Sally came along and she let you know she cares so much about this and we need to save our literal planet and before you say we can’t do this or ask her about costs, other countries are already on the wave and we need to hop on:

“It’s being done! In other countries, it’s being done! In Norway, in France, in Germany, it’s being done! …People are demanding a change for better lives! For their lives! For water, for air, for our Earth, for our tomorrow!”

Sally was rounded up by the D.C. 5-0 and Fire Drill Fridays took another. She joins the likes of: Paul Sheer, Diane Lane, Piper Perabo, Amber Valletta, Sam Waterston, Ted Danson, Rosanna Arquette and Catherine Keener who have all also been arrested during these protests.

Well, I hope the writers of Book Club 2 are watching because this shit writes itself. I mean, hello?! The women do a climate protest and get arrested and then meet Sally Field–who absolutely must appear in Book Club 2 now–and then they start a sexy older-woman book club in jail? Orange Is The New Black but make it: Book Club!
