Justin Hartley’s Estranged Wife Thinks He’s Trying To Hide Money From Her

NBC is probably kicking themselves for not including a provision in the This Is Us cast contracts for an option to spin-off their personal lives. Because right now, Justin Hartley (aka Kevin Pearson) and his estranged wife Chrishell Strause are in the middle of some divorce drama that just went sweeps week dramatic with the introduction of a secret money fight. Only three weeks in, and we’ve already jumped from accusations of separation date fakery to money hiding.

Last month, Justin filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Chrishell. He listed their date of separation as July 8, 2019, despite being seen together at multiple events, looking very much like two people who were happily married. For example, that picture above of Justin and Chrishell was taken on the red carpet of the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards in September. Sources claimed that their marriage ended because Chrishell wanted kids, and Justin wanted to be famous. Chrishell was allegedly blindsided by the divorce filing, because she believed everything was good up until then. She also debated the date listed as their separation. She filed a response stating the date of separation as November 22, 2019 – the day he filed for divorce.

Chrishell also wants spousal support and attorney fees, but Justin reportedly doesn’t want to give her anything. That brings us to the latest development. Sources tell TMZ that Chrishell believes that Justin claiming July 8 as their date of separation was a deliberate move in an attempt to keep her away from some money. Justin reportedly had some kind of business deal that he didn’t want Chrishell to benefit from, so he’s using the law to prevent her from getting her hands on any of it.

It’s not known what deal Justin might allegedly be trying to hide from Chrishell. There is a possibility that it had to do with This Is Us. In May, This Is Us was renewed for a fourth, fifth, and sixth season. The cast had renegotiated their salaries prior to the third season back in 2018, and Justin reportedly started making $250,000 an episode. So there is a chance that after the show was renewed for three more seasons, Justin went in and renegotiated more money. And maybe that was something that happened after July 8th. Again, I’m just speculating here.

It might also have to do with the production company Justin launched in April 2019 with 20th Century Fox TV, ChangeUp Productions. He plans to create projects for network, cable, and streaming services. It’s appropriate that his company is named ChangeUp. Because it sounds like Chrishell is trying to sniff out the truth about Justin’s devious divorce filing. And when the truth comes out, he’s probably going to want to professionally change up his name to Justy or something. Anything to avoid the first return on an internet search of his name being, “Justin Hartley shady greedy money-hider.”
