Brad Pitt Says None Of The Rumors About His Recent Dating Life Are True

Ever since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie broke up in 2016, there have been rumors and rumors and RUMORS about who he’s spending his romantic time with. We’ve had Brad with Sienna Miller, and Brad with Kate Hudson, and Brad with Neri Oxman, Brad and random casual dates, and Brad with Sat Hari Khalsa. And don’t forget the evergreen rumor that Brad has run back into the arms of Jennifer Aniston. But Brad recently cleared up any dating rumors during an interview with David Marchese of The New York Times, and he’s urging you not to believe what you read.

Brad begins by saying that he stopped reading all press in 2004, and that he doesn’t read any magazines, newspaper articles, reviews – nothing. He explained that he took a self-imposed periodical hiatus because he didn’t want the information bouncing around “like a rat in the skull,” and he didn’t want anything informing his decisions or career choices. David mentioned that lots of people say they don’t ready anything written about themselves, and that he never believes it. Brad clarified that he was kind of exaggerating that whole “I read nothing!” position. But he maintains that none of it is beneficial to him.

“I don’t go out of my way to avoid it; I just don’t seek it out. I don’t know how many women they’ve said I’ve been dating the last two or three years, and none of it’s true – I just flashed on something, but maybe it doesn’t mean anything. When I first started my career, I was in USA Today. I was pretty pleased with myself. Two days after it came out, I go over to a friend-of-a-friend’s house. In the kitchen I look down and there’s a litter box for the cat – and there’s my piece in USA Today with a cat turd on top of it. That pretty much defines it.”

Brad’s life is far from a cat turd on a newspaper article. Just look at all the beautiful and glamorous women he’s been linked to in the past three years alone? But when he says none of it’s true, I kind of believe him. It doesn’t matter who Brad is seen with, or how much they might look like they’re canoodling, it’s not confirmation of anything. Brad isn’t officially dating anyone until he starts to look like them. We’ll know if his latest thing with Alia Shawkat is anything if we suddenly see Brad strolling around an art gallery in a tight perm and Pasadena Flea Market vintage wear.
