While Alanis Morissette was on Watch What Happens Live last week, a fan brought out the vintage rumor about how she wasn’t allowed to make eye contact with Vanilla Ice when she opened for him on tour in the early-90s. Never mind that Alanis opening for Vanilla Ice doesn’t even make sense, she confirmed the rumor saying that “a lot of artists are overwhelmed by incredible, large amounts of stimuli, and I think me looking at him would have overstimulated him, so I just… averted my eyes.” Some things never change. I mean, Alanis would probably still avoid eye contact with Vanilla Ice today, and mostly because if she locked eyes with him, she’d cackle her lungs out from thinking about how she’s got a show on Broadway of her songs and is about to go on tour while he only gets headlines for getting quarantined – Celebitchy
