Justin Timberlake Issued An Apology “To His Amazing Wife” On Instagram

Justin Timberlake has apologized, but since it’s not to Janet Jackson, or for Man Of The Woods, does it even count? We’ll have to leave it to his wife Jessica Biel and the producers of the film Palmer to decide, since they’re almost certainly the ones who made him do it. You’ll recall that about a week before Thanksgiving, Justin was drunk off his ass in New Orleans, where he was filming Palmer, and was photographed (there was also video) playing finger footsie with his co-star Alisha Wainwright. Justin was not wearing his wedding ring at the time. At first they played it off as no big deal, with sources claiming that while Justin felt guilty about looking a mess in public, nothing untoward was going on, and the couple were “trying to laugh it off.” Today is the day the laughter died. In an Instagram post, Justin writes that he “displayed a strong lapse in judgement,” which could apply to the past 20 years, but presumably only refers to this specific incident.

Here’s Justin’s apology to his “amazing wife and family”, whomever they may be.

You’ve got to love an apology that begins by dismissing the thing you are about to apologize for as gossip, and concludes with a plug for your upcoming project. According to Variety, Palmer is produced by the guy who brought us Green Book, and is about former college football star (JT) who returns home after serving time and “finds himself suddenly in charge of a unique young boy who has been abandoned by his wayward mother.” Alisha plays his love interest. It sounds to me like JT should preemptively apologize for this movie while he’s at it.
