Billy Dee Williams Says He’s Not Gender Fluid, Just A Carl Jung Fan

Billy Dee Williams wants the world to know that despite media reports stating that he came out as gender fluid, it’s simply not true. In fact, he told us all to get off his not-gender fluid lawn, because he’s not gender fluid, he’s just a Carl Jung psychology enthusiast. Billy Dee stated he was confused when he saw all the headlines about him being gender fluid and had to pull out his latest edition of Encyclopedia Britannica to look up what it even meant. Billy Dee says he’s just more in touch with the softer side of himself and that we should all educate ourselves on the workings of Carl Jung.

“I was talking about men getting in touch with the female side of themselves. I wasn’t talking about sex, I wasn’t talking about being gay or straight. People should read [Jung]. I mean, it would be an interesting education for a lot of people.”

Williams says he was a bit shocked to see the headlines — and the praise that came along with how some people reacted to the Esquireinterview.

“No, no, no, I’m not gay — by any stretch of the imagination. Not that I have anything against gay people. But personally? Not gay,” he said.

Billy hasn’t quite learned that sexuality and gender are two different things, but I’ll give him a pass because he’s 82, was Lando in the original Star Wars, and made Colt 45 cool. Billy went on to talk about his boner for Carl Jung and how we should all learn about a thing called anima and animus, which I keep reading as enema and anus. It turns out that it’s not a butt cleaning thing at all…

“Well, first of all, I asked last night. I said, ‘What the hell is gender fluid?’ That’s a whole new term,” Williams said in an interview with The Undefeated this week.

He was misunderstood, he says.

“But what I was talking about was about men getting in touch with their softer side of themselves. There’s a phrase that was coined by Carl G. Jung, who was a psychiatrist, who was a contemporary of Sigmund Freud, and they had a splitting of the ways because they had different ideas about the … what do you call it? Consciousness. Unconscious. It’s collective unconsciousness. But he coined a phrase that’s, ‘Anima Animus.’ And anima means that is the female counterpart of the male self, and the animus is the male counterpart of the female.

So glad that’s cleared up. Billy Dee Williams is not gender fluid but simply in touch with the softer side of his personality. It’s nice to know that a man saying he’s in touch with his feminine side can get so much press in 2019. It’s like the book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus just came out and our collective minds are blown.
