Virgina Giuffre Told Her Side of The Story To The BBC

As expected, Virginia Giuffre’s interview with BBC Panorama aired last night in the UK. And it provided us with many counterpoints to all of Prince Andrew’s ridiculous claims and excuses from his interview with the BBC last month (an interview that acted as his unofficial resignation letter from public life). Virginia called BS on many of Andrew’s claims. Like the one in which Andrew claimed his sweat glands were on hiatus in the early 2000s.

CNN says that this was the first UK interview given by Virginia Giuffre, then Virginia Roberts at the time of her alleged introduction to Prince Andrew in 2001. And it was her way of setting the record straight, and she’s hoping everyone in the UK believes her. Much like she’s said before:

“I’m calling BS on this, because that’s what it is. He knows what happened. I know what happened, and there’s only one of us telling the truth, and I know that’s me.”

Virginia says she was 17 when she was sex trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. On the first occasion that she met Prince Andrew, Virginia says she was forced to go to a nightclub with Andrew and dance with him. According to Virginia, Andrew ordered a vodka to drink, and that he couldn’t dance for shit. I believe that – after all, Andrew isn’t very good at dancing around the truth. Virginia also says he sweat like a snowman in Hell, and she was covered in his sweat.

“He is the most hideous dancer I’ve ever seen in my life. I mean it was horrible, and this guy was sweating all over me, like his sweat was, like it was raining basically everywhere, I was just like grossed out from it but I knew I had to keep him happy because that’s what Jeffrey and Ghislaine would have expected from me. In the car, Ghislaine tells me that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey, and that just made me sick.”

Virginia says she then had sex with Prince Andrew at Ghislaine’s house in London. And according to Virginia, it was awful. via The New York Post:

“It didn’t last very long. The whole thing, procedure – it was disgusting. He wasn’t mean or anything He got up and said thanks and walked out. I sat there in bed and felt ashamed and dirty…It was a wicked time in my life. I had just been abused by a member of the royal family. I wasn’t chained to a sink. But these powerful people were my chains.”

She added that after it was over, Ghislaine patted her on the back and told her she did a really good job, and that Andrew was very happy. That now-infamous picture of Andrew with his arm around Virginia’s waist (with Ghislaine creeping in the background) was allegedly taken during her first evening with Andrew.

Virginia wants everyone in the UK to understand that this isn’t just some sex scandal with a prince. She was underage at the time, and it’s not like any of this was her choice.

Giuffre said she implores the British public to “stand up” beside her and “to not accept this as being OK.”

“This is not some sordid sex story,” she said. “This is a story of being trafficked, this is a story of abuse and this is a story of your guys’ royalty.”

Just because Virginia’s interview is over and done with, doesn’t mean Andrew can resume living that carefree funemployment life in a blissful cocoon of ignorance. BBC News says that five women who have accused Jeffrey Epstein of abuse, have also accused Prince Andrew of being a witness to forced massages. The women claim they were forced to give massages to various people in Jeffrey Epstein’s home, and that Prince Andrew was there to watch it all go down. The lawyer for the five women tells BBC Panorama that they plan to serve Prince Andrew with a subpoena, forcing him to testify about what he allegedly knows.

“One of the things that we have tried is to interview Prince Andrew and to try to get what his explanation is. He was a frequent visitor. They ought to submit to an interview. They ought to talk about it.”

Prince Andrew has admitted to staying at Jeffrey’s home in Manhattan, but Andrew said he did so out of convenience. And that the last time he was in NYC to stay with Jeffrey, he was only doing so to “break up” with him as a friend. That subpoena reportedly can only be served on US soil, and it’s not known if or when Andrew will be visiting across the pond. This is the same issue the FBI allegedly has been having. They want to talk to Andrew, but they can only do so if UK citizen Andrew agrees to it. Prince Charles is totally going to surprise his awful little brother with a one-week holiday to America this Christmas.

Andrew might also have to have to answer some questions about an alleged email he sent to Ghislaine. Remember when Andrew played dumb and said he didn’t know who Virginia was, and that he’d never heard of her? BBC Panorama got their hands on an email from 2015, and it tells a different story. via The New York Post:

“Let me know when we can talk. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia Roberts,” the prince allegedly wrote to Maxwell. Maxwell responded, “Have some info. Call me when you have a moment.”

That’s the same year Virginia sued Ghislaine for publicly denying she ever recruited underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein (she later settled out of court).

We also heard from Virginia’s dad. Good Morning Britain had Sky Roberts via satellite from Florida this morning. I didn’t really need to specify that he’s from Florida, since I’m pretty sure the swamp tour boat captain hat gave it away. He called his daughter Virginia “brave,” and absolutely believes that she’s telling the truth. He also said he had no idea what was happening with her while she was allegedly held captive by Jeffrey and Ghislaine, because she was a “good actress.” Sky believes that Virginia kept her mouth shut, because there were so many powerful people in charge, and she wasn’t sure what would happen if she spoke up. He’s also afraid for her safety right now, because she’s speaking out against one of the most powerful families in the world.

“I do fear for Virginia’s safety. There’s a lot of powerful people alive now, but she’s just telling the truth…I feel really sorry that all this happened, but it did happen and Prince Andrew should pay for it.”

He also says that he chose to meet Jeffrey and Ghislaine before Virginia began working for them as a massage therapist, and that Jeffrey didn’t seem like a “pedophile,” adding he “looked like a regular guy to me.”

Buckingham Palace released a statement to CNN yesterday regarding Virginia’s interview, and it’s the same one they issued previously.

“It is emphatically denied that The Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts. Any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation.”

Prince Andrew hasn’t responded personally to Virginia’s latest interview. But I’m sure he’s coming up with a very good rebuttal.

“Look! At the picture! She claimed I’d been sweating my arse off at the dance club, but my shirt is bone dry! And you know the old saying: if you don’t see the sweat, then you must forget. Please? Can you forget about all of this? It’s really put a damper on my life.“
