Howard Stern Slams Simon Cowell And “America’s Got Talent”, Sharon Osbourne Has More Positive Opinions

America’s Got Talent and everyone involved in its production are still dealing with the shit storm created after they fired Gabrielle Union for reportedly complaining about the toxic shit she witnessed. Part of that shit storm now involves other past judges chiming in. Howard Stern and Sharon Osbourne have thoughts about what’s going on. Howard has some fighting words while Sharon was a bit nicer.

Gabrielle and Julianne Hough were both fired from America’s Got Talent, and that action triggered an avalanche of reports of racist behavior and blind eyes being turned by the production staff despite repeated call-outs by Gabrielle. Because of those claims, AGT is now being investigated by SAG-AFTRA.

Howard Stern has an opinion on all this and he’s decided now is the time to share it. Page Six says Howard thinks this was all clearly “orchestrated” by Simon Cowell and that it was “obvious” the show switches out female judges for “hotter chicks and younger chicks.” Howard was on for four seasons between 2012 and 2015, so he has the tea, and it spilled. He said on his SiriusXM show:

“How is it that Simon Cowell has orchestrated this? He sets it up that the men stay, no matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are.”

Entertainment Tonight heard from sources who say that Gabrielle is working with NBC over her accusations, but she is “done with AGT” and is only talking to the network to help them do better. She hopes she can “work with NBC to help improve the culture surrounding the show and studio.” The source said:

“Gabrielle has always been an activist and wants to make positive change so nothing like this happens again.”

Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne–who was on the show for six years–also spoke about this on yesterday’s episode of The Talk, telling her co-hosts that she had a great time on the show but did leave over her “own problems” with NBC. She said:

“It’s hard, because everybody’s experience on a show is different, and I was at that show for six years. I didn’t get let go. However, I left. And that’s the truth. I left because of NBC, not because of the show. However, I had my own problems with the network…  I don’t know about any of her concerns about the show. Obviously, there wasn’t anybody of color on the panel when I was there, so I honestly can’t say. But when I was there it was, you know, a great show to work on. The crew and everybody was amazing to me, everybody, except the network.”

I’m sure AGT appreciates Sharon’s words of support. Maybe she thinks that with her new face she looks young enough to be a judge again? And in more important news, why is guest co-host Jenna Dewan wearing an 80s prom dress from hell? Open an investigation into that!
