Gigi And Bella Hadid’s Dad Denied He’s Broke, He’s Just Too Broke To Tear Down The Shoddy Mansion He Built

Don’t panic! If you were worried that Bella and Gigi Hadid would be spending this Christmas shivering on the corner of Hollywood and Vine while shaking a tin cup and begging passersby for loose change, you can relax. Previous reports that their daddy Mohamed Hadid is bankrupt have been misrepresented, according to TMZ. There will be presents under the tree and Yolanda’s refrigerator will not be bare save a half eaten can of poor people formula Alpo. Last week Mohamed did file bankruptcy papers, but they were for his construction company. Mohamed was ordered by a judge to tear down what he calls Starship Enterprise, a ridiculous mansion he’s been building in Bel Air since 2012 because it’s not up to code and presents a “clear and present danger” to the neighboring homes. It’s going to cost $5 million to tear it down, and like any multi-millionaire worth his salt, Mohamed would rather work the system by fling for bankruptcy than pay for it himself.

A paparazzi saw Mohamed walking around and asked him about filing for bankruptcy. Mohamed denied it because God forbid you suggest a very rich man is poor. However, TMZ says he’s “splitting a very important financial hair.

TMZ broke the story .. Mohamed did file bankruptcy papers last week in L.A., but it’s his construction company, 901 Strada LLC, that’s gone belly up … not Mohamed, personally.

According to Page Six, Mohammed’s Bel Air neighbors sued him claiming that his house was illegally built and a “danger to the community.

Neighbors sued the 71-year-old property tycoon, claiming the hulking house on a hillside was illegally built and unstable.

A structural engineer testified that the piles supporting the huge home were only driven 20 feet into the bedrock, instead of 30 feet required by building regulations.

As such, the judge ruled that the “the half-built 30,000-square-foot Bel Air pad” be completely demolished by April 1.

The judge appointed receiver Douglas Wilson to supervise the demolition, which will cost approximately $5 million.

Last week, another of Hadid’s attorneys, Bruce Rudman, claimed his client couldn’t afford the demolition. Hadid also can’t afford Wilson’s $500,000 fee, the lawyers said.

If it wasn’t for LLCs, trust funds, and overseas bank accounts, rich people might actually have to pay for shit like taxes and judgements themselves! As it stands, Mohamed can just throw away this megamansion and start all over again from scratch with the same ease that I could throw out an entire tray of stuffing I made for Thanksgiving and burned. Only I couldn’t actually bring myself to do that, and instead, painstakingly removed all the burnt bits, and if I’m being honest, shame ate them on the down low. If real justice were served, the judge would have ordered Mohamed to eat the entire house himself!
