Amber Rose Got Lipo Seven Weeks After Giving Birth

Shortly after a celebrity gives birth, they’re immediately entitled to the wonderful reason to appear in a magazine. No, not pictures with their wrinkly little newborn. I’m talking about a full-page spread in a bikini with the headline, “HOW I GOT MY BODY BACK!” But before that happens, they have to put in some work. That could mean hitting up the gym, or like Amber Rose did, get help from a plastic surgeon.

Amber Rose gave birth to her second son, Slash Electric Alexander on October 10. While Amber was pregnant, she took some internet heat for promoting Flat Tummy Tea. If I was the gambling type, I would have bet that seven weeks after giving birth, Amber would be promoting a new line of post-baby tea shots called SnapBack Shooterz.

Instead, Amber posted an Instagram video yesterday from inside the office of her surgeon, Dr. Matlock. Amber explained that she was about to get her “whole body done,” with specific attention paid to her “jowls,” and her stomach area. She also gave multiple shout outs to Dr. Matlock. So even if you don’t agree with the post-baby liposuction, you have to at least appreciate the possibly-sponsored content hustle. She heavily implied she’s not the first famous person to get her stomach fat sucked out.

She’s also not the first famous person to admit to getting post-baby lipo work either. 10 months after giving birth to her daughter, Cardi B explained that she got lipo and a boob re-do, and said that she chose to be honest about her work, because she needed people to know how hard the recovery is. Not long after that, she had to cancel several performances due to complications from her lipo and boob work.

Hopefully Amber will heal up without any issues. I say this because I wouldn’t wish anyone post-procedure awfulness. But also, because I want Amber to be in top fighting form for when she starts reading her comments. Page Six says that while lots of people praised her honesty, some questioned her choice to get lipo, and so soon after she gave birth. Page Six points out that the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery recommends waiting six to nine months after delivering to get any cosmetic procedures. But obviously Amber doesn’t care about that. And I’m sure she really won’t care when some residual haters from Team Kardashian start lurking around in her comments. Forget the post-lipo reveal – I can’t wait to see just how shady Amber gets when she fight back against those haters.
