Prince Andrew’s Buckingham Palace Offices Have Been Closed Down

The antiperspirant industry’s staunchest enemy, Prince Andrew, is still riding the wave of that disastrous BBC interview he did last weekend. And by riding the wave, I mean single-handedly introducing cancel culture to Buckingham Palace. The Times of London (via People) reports that his offices at the palace have been closed.

In last weekend’s interview, Prince Andrew mounted a ridiculous defense of his longtime friendship with deceased convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein by noting the wonderful convenience of staying at Epstein’s NYC place and denying that he had sexual relations with a then underage Virginia Giuffre by bringing up an old war injury that supposedly made-him sweat-free. Oh, and he brought a Pizza Express in Woking into it. The interview was so full of WTF that the corporate sponsors of his charity said “bye bitch” to him and he withdrew from his royal duties, allegedly at his mom Queen Elizabeth’s request.

Prince Andy and his staff reportedly got the official boot from Mumsy’s place yesterday. In addition, Andrew’s personal secretary Amanda Thirsk was reportedly let go for encouraging him to do the interview. Please note that the big PR/damage control whiz that was brought on to save Andy’s rep allegedly quit when he did the interview against all sane advice.

The Prince was also forced to cancel a trip to Bahrain with his Pitch@Palace initiative. It’s up in the air as to whether Andrew will still represent the charity, which helps budding entrepreneurs.

Despite his current persona non grata status at Buckingham Palace (and hopefully at that Pizza Express in Woking because how could he do them dirty like that), sources say he’s still the prince and will continue to do some princely things.

“He remains a member of the royal family,” a royal source says. “As a royal colonel and a war veteran, you can expect to see him at Remembrance Sunday. You can expect to see him on the balcony at Trooping the Colour too.”

He’ll also retain his title as Duke of York, and he’ll keep his place in the line of succession to the throne which is eighth behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s 6-month-old son, Archie.

The next time Archie’s pram is rolled past his great-uncle at a royal gathering, Prince Andrew shouldn’t be surprised if he hears the word “trash” gurgled at him from within.
