Taylor Swift Reportedly Plans On Scorching Scooter Braun And Scott Borchetta At The AMAs

As you know, Taylor Swift has been getting into it with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta again. This stems from the original shit-fit which was thrown when all her old music rights got stolen (purchased) by Scooter. Well, part two (or is it three? I lost track) saw Taylor accusing them of blocking her from using said old music in her Netflix documentary and also an American Music Awards performance on Sunday night. With the AMAs coming up, the drama is ramping up. We already heard that Big Machine Records’ offices were allegedly evacuated over Taylor’s fans threatening them, so how can it get more dramatic? A public display of passive aggression during the AMAs live broadcast? You got it.

Page Six says that Taylor is going to go big on Sunday night. It seemed like this fight was going to be over on Monday after Big Machine Records released a statement in coordination with Dick Clark Productions saying Taylor would be able to perform whatever sad song written by a pubescent teenage girl she wants. But then Dick Clark Productions denied working with Big Machine. So what’s happening? Are we going to hear Mean or not?

Regardless of what she performs, count on her bringing this drama up during her acceptance speech for Artist of the Decade. Hmm, haven’t we seen her do this before? An insider told Page Six:

“Taylor will turn her AMA performance into a huge moment, and a powerful message. We are expecting to see artists such as Selena join her on stage as part of a fierce show of female artistic strength and empowerment… Then, when accepting her award, Taylor will likely make a statement about artists being able to own their masters, the music they created, and how she feels she has been treated by Scooter and Scott.”

But Scooter won’t even be at the awards show and is also being passive aggressive about this. He posted to Instagram a message which is clearly meant for this moment of stress for him. It must be tough when even Elizabeth Warren and AOC are coming down on you.

And according to TMZ, Scooter was “never” planning on attending and will be in Florida because Ariana Grande has a concert there that day:

“Scooter’s not scared of what Taylor might do… fact is, he never planned on showing up for the show. He’ll be in Tampa, Florida supporting one of his artists who’s performing there.”

So Taylor will be ranting against an empty chair. Which is fine with her; she must complain to her cats all the time. Do you think they respond? She doesn’t need a response, she just needs to air it out. This will be her Kay Burley moment.
