Taylor Swift Gained Powerful Allies In Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez And Elizabeth Warren

Taylor Swift‘s squad is growing and it’s got some big political names to add to the roster. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Elizabeth Warren, are tossing their opinions into the mix in this whole Taylor Swift Vs. Scooter Braun and Big Machine Records founder Scott Borchetta battle over the use of her early music. Of course they’re bringing it back to politics, showing how big corporate greed can fuck over even the most powerful musical artist in the world. And while AOC and Elizabeth Warren are giving their two cents, Big Machine is clearing out their offices and checking for strange packages in the mailroom because of the threats they’ve been getting.

According to Taylor, Scotter (Scott and Scooter’s couple name) has been blocking her from using her old music in a Netflix documentary, and an American Music Awards performance. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have taken obvious sides in the battle, but Yahoo! says less obvious choices of wading into this matter were AOC and Presidential hopeful, Elizabeth Warren. These two are all about politics, and their politics is all about stopping corrupt big business from fucking the little guy. In this case, multi-millionaire Taylor Swift is the little guy.

AOC and Elizabeth tweeted about “private equity groups” which we need to “rein in”:

Meanwhile, Big Machine is not getting tons of support outside of Justin Bieber who’s managed by their alleged co-conspirator, and are actually just getting the shit end of this stick. According to Entertainment Tonight, Taylor’s cronies have driven Big Machine Records from their Tennessee office.

A source told them that Big Machine’s Nashville headquarters was “forced to shut down early on Friday” a bit after noon. Why? “Due to direct and hostile death threats being made to employees of the company.” Apparently these Swift fans are no joke and are trying to dox the people working there. The source believes fans are trying to:

“Leak personal contact information and addresses of company employees–not just Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta.”

Although Big Machine also has not contacted authorities about the threats. A Big Machine exec also told ET:

“Taylor can 100 percent perform all of her catalog, past and present, at the AMAs. Big Machine has no issue with her performance going out on live broadcast because it recognizes it doesn’t have the right to block her. Labels can’t block any artists from performing any songs live.”

Also, one of Taylor’s people put out another statement regarding Big Machine’s denials, saying Scott flat out said Taylor could go fuck herself with her old songs:

I think they then specifically denied to ET that Taylor couldn’t use her old songs because they were called out. Regardless, sustaining the ire of Taylor’s fans seems to be highly influential on Big Machine–I’m sure this mess will be cleared up by Wednesday. I think we know how Taylor can handle that other Shake It Off lawsuit she has going on. Time to sick the fans on one more target!
