Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello Got Couples Tattoos

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are putting in so much work into this completely real relationship. The two of them have packed on the PDA–and I mean packed it on–and done the pretend denials, and a song together, and have sworn it’s true love. It’s been a lot. But it’s not over yet, and now they can check off “getting couples tattoos.”

Did Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson invent this? Or was it like Angelina Jolie and Billie Bob? The Blast reports that Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson ain’t the only couple copying Pete and Ari’s poor decisions. Although, like Miley and Cody, I think these tattoos are unrelated to each other other than being inked on the same day, at the same location and by the same artist.

The couple went on a “private date” (AKA: rich enough to close that shit down) to a tattoo studio with tattoo artist, Kane Navasard, where they got “personal and meaningful tattoos together.”

Shawn got an “A” tattooed behind his ear which stands for Aaliyah, which at first I was like, “Shawn Mendes is an Aaliyah stan?”, but then I read it’s his 16-year-old sister’s name and I was like, “Oh his mom is an Aaliyah stan.”

Meanwhile, Camila got a quote tattooed on her pinky. It says: “It’s a Mystery.” Which is a quote she got from the movie Shakespeare in Love with Gwyneth Paltrow. And also every single Scooby-Doo.

How lucky? Am I right? To have found someone like that? I mean how often does someone just walk into your life and it changes in a snap? You get swept up in that euphoria and happiness and love? Right? Let alone two of them at once! How many tattoo artists will get this much publicity from inking true love’s greatest couple?! Love is a beautiful thing–Kane Navasard is one lucky man.
