Doug The Pug Was Robbed At Last Night’s People’s Choice Awards

According to People, the people have made some questionable choices in choosing the people to receive this year’s People’s Choice Awards. A perfect example was people choosing Gwen Stefani, yes THAT Gwen Stefani, as the winner of the Fashion Icon Award. Over Doug The Pug! What is wrong with people? Are people OK?

Meet your Fashion Icon for 2019. She may have a new face, accent, and look, but she’s still just a girl in the world. I can’t believe they let her accept an award and walk around all night with several rolls of used toilet paper coming out the back of her dress like that. Very disrespectful. Again, what is wrong with people?!

Gwen Stefani’s man Blake Shelton was also a winner. He took home the Bronze Listening Devise Masquerading As An Award So We Can Record Celebrities Pooping statue for Country Artist of 2019.

The big news of the night was that Martin Scorsese was completely shut out in every category. Marvel did pretty well though, winning Movie of 2019 for Avengers: Endgame beating out 6 other films, 2 of which were also Marvel movies (Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home), and all but one of which were sequels with either numbers or colons in the title. Us was the only original film nominated!

Avengers: Endgame also won Action Movie of 2019, and Robert Downey Jr. won Male Movie Star of 2019. Zendaya won Female Movie Star of 2019 for Spider-Man: Far From Home and for Drama TV Star of 2019 for Euphoria. And Tom Holland won Action Movie Star of 2019 for Spider-Man, beating out Keanu Reeves in John Wick Chapter 3 — Parabellum, which answers one question, people are definitely NOT OK.

People love Marvel but they also love Stranger Things which won Show and Drama Show of 2019. Millie Bobby Brown won TV Star of 2019 because they nominated Reese Witherspoon over Meryl Streep for Big Little Lies. Can you imagine MBB beating Meryl at anything other than Most Mature Adult Woman of 2019?

Kevin Hart was there to accept an award for Comedy Act of 2019. They did not specify if the award was for his Netflix special Irresponsible, or for his performance of contrition on Ellen. It was Kevin’s first public appearance since his car crash (via People):

The actor, 40, accepted the award for comedy movie star of 2019 at the E! People’s Choice Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. Hart referenced his car accident in his speech after the audience gave him a standing ovation.

“First and foremost, thank God, because I definitely don’t have to be here,”

Um, God? Really, Kevin? Shouldn’t you be thanking PEOPLE?! God may have saved him from dying that crash, but it takes people to give a standing ovation to a “formerly” homophobic man who allegedly cheated on his wife and then got extorted with a sex tape. However, Kevin did thank his wife and kids, and they are people, so while he doesn’t have to be there, I guess it’s all part of #People’sPlan
