Donald Trump Jr. Was On “The View” And It Went As Well As You’d Expect
Producers at The View didn’t read my comment card that their 5,000th episode should involve clearing the Tri-State area and inviting Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck back to talk about, well, anything. Instead, they thought having Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend/Trump campaign adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle, would bring in better ratings. Or they just needed to find a new way to piss off Meghan McCain today that didn’t involve having Joy Behar talk about gun control. As you might expect, it was a disaster and maybe ABC should just count its blessings that The View studio is still standing.
The Hollywood Reporter says Whoopi Goldberg was about as useful as a moderator today as she is any other day, which means the hissing possums still hissed well over her warnings. Whoopi was instructed to ring a bell anytime things went off the rails, and let’s just say I have a permanent twitch because she hit the thing so fucking much. The audience booed the whole time. It sounds like the first row or so was packed with pro-Trumpers and anyone who watches The View knows the rest of the audience would sooner endure Candace Cameron Bure back at the table than spend a minute with DTJ. Keep in mind: we haven’t gotten to the actual panel throw down yet.
But before we do, Meghan surprisingly had her biggest clash with an audience member and not DTJ. An audience member, who was wearing a MAGA hat, kept interrupting Meghan until she told him to cut the shit. Otherwise, she just kinda sat there quietly and squirmed as much as any of us would do if a Trump invaded an otherwise perfectly normal gathering of dysfunctional friends who like to scream at each other. However, she did ask DTJ about going after gold star families and her late father John McCain just to get into the White House. DTJ kiiiiiiinda apologized but also went back to kissing his dad’s ass and said, “I don’t think any of that makes me feel good, but I do think that we got into this because we wanted to do what’s right for America.” Meghan was basically mute for the rest of the show, so I don’t know if she popped a Xanax beforehand and told herself “Eh, they’re still Republican!” or if producers promised her she could do two segments next week on Arizona and hunting if she kept her mouth shut.
When Trump’s “grab ’em by the pussy” comments were brought up, DTJ went after Joy for once wearing black face, which she and Whoopi MAJORLY denied. You can decide for yourself here about that one. He then accused Whoopi of defending Roman Polanski. That’s when Whoopi completely lost it and checked a bitch.

The one takeaway I did make is when Abby Huntsman pulled her weight for once and asked DTJ about why he re-tweeted an article that may or may not have revealed the identity of the Ukraine whistleblower. Former First Lady of San Francisco, Kimberly Guilfoyle, sensing she may have to cross the aisle AGAIN to find her next husband, chimed in and said she didn’t agree with that but was in the bathroom for 10 minutes while he fired that one off:
“I did come out of the bathroom and say, ‘I left you alone for 10 minutes, what happens when mamacita is gone?’”
Moral of the story: Kim, Melania and the other Trump hens aren’t allowed poo breaks or else Twitter goes to shit, and, yes, I’m keeping that pun!
