Ron Perlman Is Getting Divorced After 38 Years, And Was Seen Kissing One Of His Co-Stars

I learned something today, and that’s that Ron Perlman has been married for nearly FOUR DECADES. I guess I just always assumed that Ron Perlman lived alone in a cabin in the woods, where he cracked beers open with his teeth in solitude, coming out every so often to grab a check from Hollywood when they needed a craggy middle-aged silver fox type for a role (or offer up a questionable handshake). I also learned that his wife of 38 years is a jewelry designer named Opal Stone. It’s far too perfect that a woman named Opal Stone was married to a man who’s last name sounds like “pearl.” But I only have a couple seconds to enjoy this, because TMZ is reporting they’re over.

Ron and Opal got married on Valentine’s Day in 1981. Ron filed for divorce in Los Angeles yesterday. They have two adult children, which means no child support fight or custody battle. Ron has agreed that any possible spousal support will go to Opal. Well, yeah. When you’re married for the Hollywood equivalent of 380 regular people years, your spouse deserves more than just a gift bag on the way out.

Okay here’s where it might get messy. Ron lists the date of separation as May 10th, 2019. Sources tell In Touch that it would “appear” as though Ron and Opal had an open marriage. That might explain why Ron was seen kissing on his StartUp co-star Allison Dunbar back in…wait for it…May 2019.

Six months later, and Ron and Allison are still apparently going strong. In Touch claims Ron and Allison were seen having dinner over the weekend, and witnesses claim it looked like a date-date.

“They definitely seem like an item,” an eyewitness said of the couple. At one point, the Hellboy actor had his hand on Allison’s lap. An insider did note to In Touch when the two were seen together, “Everyone thought Ron and his wife lived very separate lives.” The insider said Ron “wasn’t wearing a wedding ring” and that they “didn’t see his wife.”

But then again – it sounds like he was pretty friendly with all the ladies on set.

An insider told In Touch of whatever is going on with Allison, “I will say this: The blonde actress he’s with now isn’t his usual type. He’d flirt on the set with extras like he was a single man. His wife’s name never came up.”

About a year ago, Allison Instagrammed a few pictures of herself and Ron at Soho House in West Hollywood.

I’m sure none of us are shocked that a famous older dude has left his long-term wife for a younger blonde. But the age difference here is a bit of a head-scratcher. Ron Perlman is 69 years old. Page Six says Allison’s age isn’t known for certain, but they believe she’s in her mid-40s. Which means he’s in his 60s and she’s not in her 20s? Maybe Ron has been out of the celebrity dating game for so long that he isn’t aware the man-in-his-60s-rebounding-with-a-blonde trend is to go 1990 or later. Or maybe he does know that, but he’s not one for conformity. Makes sense. Ron always did seem like a bit of a rebel.
