Catherine Zeta-Jones And Carys Douglas Did A Mother/Daughter Ad Campaign For Fendi

Carys Douglas dresses up as Catherine Zeta-Jones Junior everyday, not just on Halloween. When your mom’s a famous glamorpuss and you’re an aspiring model, there’s no better way to pad that resume than to do cute twinsy photoshoots with your mom for bougie magazines like Vanity Fair and Town & Country. So when Fendi calls and wants to send you and moms to Rome for an ad campaign, even though you’ve been to Rome like a million times, you go. WWD reports that CZJ and CZJJ were “the protagonists” in a Fendi campaign for their Peekaboo bag. I guess that makes the Peekabo bag the villain who holds them up at knife point under the Ponte Fabricio. Shit, even handbags gotta have a backstory and a character arc these days.

According to WWD:

The Oscar-winning actress and her 16-year-old daughter are the protagonists of the latest episode of the #MeandMyPeekaboo series, promoting Fendi’s Peekaboo bag.

In the elegant pictures, Zeta-Jones and Douglas are lensed in different locations, including the frescoed rooms of Rome’s Palazzo Altemps, as well as the colonnades and the signature stairs of Fendi headquarters Palazzo Della Civiltà Italiana.

If this campaign is supposed to be aspirational, it’s working. I can’t lie, I want very badly for CZJ to be my extremely wealthy and elegant mommy after seeing this.

Do you think CZJ would be willing to adopt an overweight adult black baby that currently has a huge zit on her face from wearing clown makeup over the weekend? AFAF. When CZJ and CZJJ were on the cover of Town & Country last year, CZJJ talked about her desire to be a model and actress. And from the sound of it, things are working out for her in that department. Go figure!

In July, Zeta-Jones and Douglas attended the Fendi couture fall 2019 show in Rome and appeared on the cover of Vogue Spain’s September issue wearing coordinated Fendi outfits

It’s actually kind of refreshing to see CZJ take her mini-me under the wings of her caftan instead of just throwing her to the wolves. No creepy photographer or shady manager is going to try some shit and risk getting a hat pin to the urethra at the hands of Wales’ wealthiest woman.
