In Case You Missed It, Whoopi Goldberg Checked Meghan McCain On “The View”
Meghan McCain’s time on The View has supposedly been grueling for everyone involved. We’ve heard that working with her is like living with an ever-shifting, loosely-tied-up bag of scorpions in the corner of your room. And we’ve heard that Meghan is also not having fun being the only person at work who likes her. She’s reportedly been feeling “caged” in her job, yet she doesn’t want them hiring smarter Republicans to steal her check. She’s slapped at her co-stars on-camera and thinks that some of them are out to get her. Well, more drama happened on the show yesterday when Meghan decided to swing at Whoopi Goldberg during a segment on national security. And being the head hen, Whoopi had to slap down the law and cut to commercial before she slapped something else.
BuzzFeed says that the hens on The View were doing what they get paid to do: cluck at each other at once. Whoopi wasn’t having it and told them that everyone should get a turn to talk but they’re doing “that thing.” Meghan cut in with:
“I don’t know what that means, “This thing”?”
Girl, we all know what that “thing” is. You’re yapping over each other! Whoopi explained it to Meghan, because Meghan is slow sometimes. But Meghan sure wasn’t slow with this comeback:
“Well, it’s The View.”
The audience laughed because Meghan is right. But still, did she just take that tone with Sister Mary Clarence? Not today. Whoopi let her know what was what:
“You know what? Let me tell you something about The View. This show has always had the ability to have different points of view, which we respect around the table, and when we talk to each other, we also exhibit respect. So when I’m saying to you “Hold up!” because we’re not hearing each other, I’m not trying to cut you off, I’m trying to get you heard.”
If a black woman says, “You know what“, in that tone, good luck, to you. I would just recommend you wait for her to finish and then shake your head in agreement. But then Meghan kept on, kept on, and cut off Whoopi again. That’s when Sunny Hostin should’ve said, “Meghan, you in danger girl.” Whoopi then waved her arms and cut to commercial to pounce on Meghan, I’m guessing.

I hope Meghan does stay on The View. Sure, she’s awful and completely annoying, but if she keeps getting dunked on like this by the other hosts? I am all for it! It’s my favorite sport!
