Suzanne Somers’ Husband Took That Topless Birthday Pic For Her
As Ferris Bueller once said, life moves pretty fast, and if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, Chrissy from Three’s Company is a 73-year-old Golden Girl crouching naked in a field. Suzanne Somers was a big part of my household growing up, partly because I loved Three’s Company, but mostly because my mom bought a Thighmaster sometime in the late 80’s and it sat around collecting dust until she finally sold it at a garage sale. According to Page Six, Suzanne is living her best life and just celebrated her 73rd birthday by sharing a nude photo taken of her by Alan Hamel, her husband of over 40 years. And since living one’s best life usually comes with a hefty price tag, she’s got a book about aging coming out.
Here’s Suzanne holding a Thighmaster (™) squat while topless.
Looks to me like she was hiking and had a potty emergency, but Suzanne says she was just hot.
Her loving husband snapped the nude shot as they strolled on their 73-acre California property and she took off her top. “We’ve lived in the same house for 43 years,” sprightly Somers said over the phone from Las Vegas, where she was celebrating her birthday.
“We were wandering along one of the paths… and I took my top down,” the sensual septuagenarian said of stripping. “It was hot. The flowers were flowering, the bees were bee-ing… it just seemed like the right thing to do.” She joked of Hamel, her husband since 1977, “He’s seen me naked before.”
Suzanne says she’s “probably the only woman in Hollywood who’s enjoying aging” (Frances McDormand would like a word) and that she’s “put a lot in naturally”, which you can read all about in her book A New Way to Age, available in January. Suzanne’s secret: Getting hopped up and horny on hormones!
“I’m really happily married,” she said. “I’m in love … when you get to this age, love grows, it’s deeper .. at this stage why not have fun? I’ve got him all juiced up on testosterone, I’m all juiced up on estrogen … it makes a difference! His skin is so good — he is sexy.”
Sure, Suzanne has been criticized for hawking Goop-level pseudoscience in her books for decades, specifically in regards to her proselytization of “bioidentical hormone replacement therapy” which she calls “the juice of youth” (per the New York Times). And in 2001 she was “caught” leaving a plastic surgery clinic and later admitted to getting liposuction. Maybe that’s the new way to age she refers to in her book!
