Jennifer Lawrence Wedding Watch: Adele, Cameron Diaz, Kris Jenner, And A Clambake

October 19, 2019 / Posted by:

When I’m not blogging badly about celebrities on the weekend, I have a day job in Rhode Island. People at work who know about my moonlighting were all excited for me this week because Jennifer Lawrence is getting married at the veddy, veddy grand Belcourt in Newport today. “Aren’t you excited for J-Law’s wedding,” they asked? As if I had an invite! As if I was going to try to crash to get the scoop! They KNOW I’m too busy stalking Taylor Swift outside of her manse on Watch Hill for any Dlisted-worthy staged holiday photoshoots! As for the wedding, Adele, Kris Jenner, Nicole Richie and Cameron Diaz are some of J-Law’s celebrity guests in the postage stamp state this weekend for the celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed-planned, 150 guest wedding.

TMZ has pics of the guests arriving by private jet. In addition to the already accused, Nicole Richie’s husband Joel Madden was also spotted on the tarmac and word is that Bradley Cooper is attending. The real-life template for Ursula the Momager, Kris Jenner, was spotted boarding a boat yesterday afternoon for the rehearsal dinner clambake.

Jennifer, 29, disembarked from a private jet earlier in the day with her betrothed (or is he already her husband?), “art gallerist” Cooke Maroney, 34. She was carrying some bags but not a dress which she probably sent ahead of her. B

Speaking of the clambake, People reports that it was held on Rhode Island’s Rose Island under a white tent for the guests. They also had the scoop on the Belcourt which is basically Versailles for ugly Americans.

Designed in 1894 by the renowned American architect Richard Morris Hunt, the Belcourt at Newport was inspired by Louis XIII’s hunting lodge at Versailles. It is currently home to Carolyn Rafaelian, CEO of Alex and Ani, who took on restoring the property in 2012, according to Forbes.

So it’s like a really fancy Airbnb for Ms. Rafaelian. Extra cash is always nice. J-Law and Cooke got engaged in February and she’s described him as “the greatest human being I’ve ever met” so it’s nice that there’s no pressure on him in this romantic venture.
