Helen Hunt’s SUV Flipped In A Car Accident

TMZ says that Helen Hunt was in a car accident. While Helen wasn’t herself driving, the car she was in got flipped over after a crash in Los Angeles. She’s okay and was released from the hospital the same day.

Apparently Helen Hunt needs a new driving service because this last one don’t know what they’re up to. Maybe she should try whoever J Lo has been using for the last twenty five years. Sources tell TMZ that Helen was the only person in the back of a black SUV which was hit by another car after entering an intersection–flipping it onto its side.

There’s video of the crash:

So as someone watches tons of car crash compilations on YouTube for hours (don’t judge me), I’ve analyzed a few things. One: it looks like Helen’s driver has a stop sign since the side opposite does. Two: Helen’s car slows down, sort of, as it approaches, then keeps going into the intersection. Three: the car which hit the SUV does not even try to slow down until they see they’re about to crash, so either there is no stop sign or they blew right past it with no intention of even pretending to stop. Yes, I know: I should be a traffic cop.

People says that a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Police Department told them Helen was indeed one of a number of people who got taken to the hospital after the accident, and that police have investigated and determined no crime was committed.

56-year-old Helen was then released from hospital and her rep had no comment when People reached out to her. But if she was released, she’s probably fine. TMZ doesn’t know how the driver of the other car or Helen’s SUV are doing.

A car flipping sounds crazy, but speaking as a car crash video aficionado, it happens more than you think. Still, I do hope Helen emerges from this fully unscathed with the only difference being that now she can hear people’s thoughts and will use it to her social and career advantage with mixed moral results.
