Lindsie Chrisley Denies Selling Out Her Parents As Todd Chrisley Sues The Georgia IRS

Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, may have been cleared of tax evasion on a state-level but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to keep the legal drama flowing. It seems that they want to get some recompense for the pain they went through being audited (the horror!) and are now suing an IRS agent claiming he had a shady relationship with their daughter, Lindsie Chrisley and was using her to get information on them! Well Lindsie is calling bullshit: her dad is the only one who uses scandalous information against those in the family.

TMZ says that Todd is suing Joshua Waites, the Director of the Georgia Department of Revenue’s Office of Special Investigation, claiming that he was using shady tactics to intimidate Lindsie and get her to trust him. They show texts between the two discussing how the case is going and how Lindsie could help… sort of. Read them yourself, if you want, but they seem pretty tame to me. The lawsuit claims that Joshua wanted attention and was seeking the spotlight by going after the Chrisleys. Which seems weird because, like Keke Palmer, we didn’t know this man until Todd brought him up.

The Georgia Department of Revenue told TMZ:

“Our investigators are fair and impartial in their work with a commitment to ensuring compliance with the law. In accordance with state law and as a matter of standard protocol, the Department cannot comment on the specifics of any investigation, settlement, or pending litigation… This development is disappointing and their accusations are unfounded, but we will decline to provide any further comment on this matter.”

Meanwhile TMZ also says that Lindsie is denying she did anything shady with Joshua and that the two remained in contact for only one reason: making sure she could keep track of the investigation and keep her own kid out of it.

Lindsie claims she was only in communication with Joshua so she could keep her 6-year-old son, Jackson, from “seeing the ugliness of it all.” Which is interesting because he’s 6 and has no concept of taxes. Like, does he read the paper? Where would he see this information?

However, she points to a time in 2017 when Todd was served legal papers at his home while Lindsie and Jackson were there, saying she was uncomfortable having her son around that. So because of that, she stayed in touch with Joshua for updates.

Source tell TMZ that Lindsie never even met him in person. And also, the Chrisleys should know that Lindsie didn’t help Joshua because look: they didn’t get in trouble with the law, did they? Which I love, because it suggests that she does in fact know the hot illegal tea on her family still and is just holding onto it.

Meanwhile, Lindsie will be talking about all this on Dr. Phil later this week, because listen, a check needs to come from somewhere. Here’s a preview of her on that (AKA a preview of Dr. Phil asking questions/saying things he thinks are deep or intelligent while Lindsie makes facial reactions):

Can’t wait for Lindsie to spill on which guy from The Bachelorette she got with. You know Phil’s gonna ask. I just feel bad she didn’t get Tyler C.
