Lana Del Rey Confirms She’s Dating A Cop But Says He’s A “Good” One Who “Gets It”

Yodeling witch princess Lana Del Rey may try to cast hexes on Trump (it worked girl, slow burn) but she still also somehow considers herself politically in the middle. So when I found out that the woman who sings my favorite song about slinging cocaine from Colombia to Florida was also potentially dating a reality TV cop, I was confused. On one hand, a hot older man with tattoos and an aggressive job is very on-brand for Lana Del Rey. On the other, he’s a cop, girl! You can’t date the guy who used to lock up your old boyfriends! But Lana confirms that she and Sgt. Sean “Sticks” Larkin are together.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Lana talks all about Sgt. Sticks, who works for works for LivePD and PD Cam, and she gave a very Lana Del Rey response to them being photographed together in Central Park:

“I didn’t know we were being photographed. I would’ve worn something different.”

She was shocked by the photogs coming after her:

“Yeah. It’s funny because I was with someone for years and we never had that problem.”

As for dating a cop, Lana says he’s a good one:

“Well, the thing is, he’s a good cop. He gets it. He sees both sides of things.”

Does she mean both sides of… police brutality, or… I’m just gonna… breeze…  along. You should read the full interview if you’re into Lana Del Rey or interviews–she talks about her album and dragging a critic who didn’t like it, blah, blah. Honestly I just wish people would ask her more about the witch stuff. Or fucking up Azealia Banks! Like, give me the meat and potatoes!

I’m sure that Sgt. Sticks and Lana will keep their professional lives separate, as Lana doesn’t want to hear about the arrests of the guys she used run books for, and Sticks doesn’t wanna even know how many men she’s cursed over the course of a day. …But I do!
