Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Are Planning A December Wedding

October 3, 2019 / Posted by:

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have finally set the date. When the proposal happens on Valentine’s Day, includes a helicopter ride, heart-shaped mylar balloons, and you could buy an entire black market human baby with the money spent on the engagement ring, you know the wedding is going to be a production. Us Weekly reports that Katy and Orlando are planning a December wedding. Which means it’s going to a Winter Wedding, which means it’s probably going to be too much. I won’t be surprised if they get married inside a to-scale glitter snow globe.

According to Us:

The countdown is on! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are set to wed in December, a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

In the meantime, the pair are focusing on each other. “It’s important for us to do the work before we go and take this really big next step,” explained the singer, 34, during an appearance on Australia’s KIIS Kyle and Jackie O Show. Bloom, 42, echoed his fiancée’s sentiment when he told Us and other reporters they “are doing all the work necessary to lay a really grounded foundation to our relationship.”

This, of course, will be a second marriage for both of them. Much to Russell Brand’s dismay, Katy was briefly married to Russell Brand in 2010. That was a low-key Hindu wedding that took place in India for reasons that will never make sense. And Orlando was married to Miranda Kerr (mother of his 8-year-old son Flynn), also in 2010, but they ended things in 2013. So it makes sense that these two would take it slow this time.

There’s not a lot of information about actual wedding plans, though News.com.au reports that Katy may be planning on designing her own footwear.

Perry, who was previously married to Russell Brand for two years in 2010, has remained tight-lipped about her wedding plans, although she knows what shoe design she wants to wear when she walks down the aisle.

She has previously revealed she would like her footwear to be floral themed, which is a nod to her flower engagement ring and Bloom’s surname.

She once said: “I figure if I do (design a shoe), it would probably have something to do with flowers and blooming.”

It’s a good thing Orlando’s last name isn’t Broom or something equally unalluring. Don’t forget that in addition to her apple cider vinegar empire, Katy is also a titan in the shoe industry and has her own line which you can buy on QVC.

Hopefully Katy and Orlando’s marriage will last longer than a pair of cheap plastic shoes.
