Stacey Dash Pleaded Not Guilty To Domestic Battery And Her Husband Bailed Her Out

October 2, 2019 / Posted by:

In the audio recording of Stacey Dash’s arrest for alleged domestic violence, she had clearly had enough of her husband Jeffrey Marty’s “disrespectful, awful children” who she claimed were conspiring against her. It’s a classic wicked stepmother thing to say, it’s no wonder there was friction in the household. Still, despite Stacey calling his kids’ names, Jeffrey paid her bail and she was released on Monday, according to People.

People reports Jeffrey bailed Stacey out on Monday, the day after her arrest.

According to Pasco County court records, Marty paid $500 to free the Clueless actress, 52, from the Land O’ Lakes detention facility in Pasco County, Florida on Monday.

Is it weird that I’m suddenly hungry for some buttery garlic bread liberally sprinkled with a salt-free seasoning blend? Sorry, I mean conservatively sprinkled. According to The Daily Mail, the incident that led to Stacey’s arrest centered around an altercation which “allegedly occurred after Dash and her stepdaughter, 15, got into a fight, and the actress pushed the teenager“. However, People reports that Stacey issued a statement claiming the entire incident was blown out of proportion, going so far as to indicate that her previous claims of self-defense were unfounded.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Monday, Dash said she and her husband “had a marital dispute in their Tampa, FL suburb” and that police did arrive at their home on Sunday. She also said the allegation that her husband attacked her was untrue.

The statement continued, “The marital dispute, while personal and unfortunate, has since been blown out of proportion. An earlier report on TMZ.com said her manager told TMZ that she was attacked by her husband — both the sources relationship to Ms. Dash and the events of the evening were misrepresented.”

“Ms. Dash is a domestic abuse survivor from a previous relationship and has championed for other abuse victims to speak up,” the statement added. “The untruthfulness being reported saddens Ms. Dash and her family — no further comments will be made and we ask that Ms. Dash and her family’s privacy will be respected.”

CNN reports that today, Stacey officially entered a plea of not guilty to domestic battery and has had a public defender assigned to her case, since she’s too broke to afford an attorney on her own. Stacey’s pretty famous. How did not one single lawyer in all of America offer to represent her, for the publicity alone! If Rudy Giuliani weren’t so busy right now, he’d definitely have done it for free.

Oh, and now she’s getting roasted on the internet because she was booked as a white woman.

And here I thought Trump was having a rough week.
