Stacey Dash Was Arrested In Florida For Domestic Violence

Normally, there might be a little bit of joy in hearing that a former Fox News employee, aspiring politician, and supporter of both Trump and Bill Cosby, got busted in the most bustable place on earth, Florida. But this situation is dark, because it involves domestic violence, and it’s about ten steps higher on the serious situations ladder than Dionne whipping a cheap K-Mart hair extention at Murray.

TMZ reported that 52-year-old Stacey Dash was arrested yesterday in Pasco County, Florida (it’s about 28 miles north of Tampa) after getting into a domestic situation with her fourth husband, Florida lawyer Jeffrey Marty. Stacey and Jeffrey have been married for nearly 18 months, and got married 10 days after they met.

Sources tell TMZ that police were called to Stacey and Jeffrey’s home around 7:45pm to investigate a domestic dispute. The sources claim that Stacey pushed and slapped Jeffrey, and that Jeffrey had scratches on his left arm. Stacey Dash scratching at the left is almost a little too on-brand. Stacy was taken into custody, where she was held on $500 bail. She could still be in custody, as TMZ says that local authorities typically hold people for a 24-hour cooling off period.

A source claims that Stacey’s husband is the one who should’ve been arrested. Stacey allegedly acted in self-defense, after Jeffrey allegedly attacked her by trying to choke her. Jeffrey ended up with scratches on his arms, because Stacey fought back. That source also claims that Stacey is the one who called 9-1-1, and that police only arrested her, because she didn’t have any scratches or bruises.

Stacey has spoken previously about being in abusive relationships, but this is the first time it’s been reported that the police got involved. No word on what Jeffrey’s been up to while all this has happened, like if he plans on taking this situation a step further and having his wife formally charged. But he’s a lawyer, so he’s probably got some kind of a plan. TMZ has obtained footage of her arrest and booking:

That cop might have just been making small talk, but there’s also a chance some of his questions were legit. He asked what Stacey does for a living, and kind of drew a blank when she said she appeared in a movie called Clueless. But when she tells him she used to be a Fox News contributor, he replies: “Oh, cool!” The silver lining in all of this for Stacey might be that she just met the one person alive who didn’t hear of Stacey’s time on Fox News and think, “From Clueless to this? Stacey Dash needs to get a new manager.”
