Ronan Farrow Will Cover The Matt Lauer Scandal In His New Book “Catch And Kill”
Noted creep catcher Ronan Farrow is working on a book called Catch and Kill centered around the cover-ups of powerful creeps, and so he’s of course included the Matt Lauer sexual harassment and misconduct scandal of 2017. Ronan is believed to have new claims against Matt Lauer, as well as interviews with the woman whose initial claim got him fired. Well, I guess Matt Lauer’s PR people, if he still has those, has another “I regret that decision” line to write for when his eventual “comeback” begins.
According to Page Six:
A group of women with fresh claims of sexual harassment against Matt Lauer has spoken out for the first time to Ronan Farrow, The Post can reveal.
Farrow has also spoken to the woman whose initial complaint to NBC led to the disgraced former “Today” show anchor’s firing.
She has made the difficult decision to come forward and name herself in Farrow’s explosive new book, “Catch and Kill,” The Post is told.
Ronan is believed to have new allegations again Matt Lauer who is aware of the book and has been given an opportunity to fact-check and comment.
There are believed to be new allegations, as a source said: “A number of women with new claims spoke with Ronan.”
However, a source revealed that Lauer and his team are well aware of what is in the book after being given the opportunity to comment and fact-check by Farrow’s fact-checker Sean Lavery.
A source said: “These survivors have bravely made the decision on their own terms to come forward in the context of this book’s reporting.”
In a statement, Farrow’s publishers, Little, Brown and Company, declined to comment on the matter but told us that they are “extremely proud of the important reporting in ‘Catch and Kill,’ which has been meticulously fact-checked and vetted.”
Matt, for his part, has kept a low profile since the scandal and subsequent firing happened. He’s basically just sending unsolicited notes to the Today Show and getting divorced. And he’s probably doing all of it in a semi-exposing robe while staring at all the sex toys he bought in bulk and never got to gift to anyone. Hopefully Ronan’s book will allow these women’s stories to be heard and offer some healing. And everyone else can take a page from the Today and just erase Matt Lauer from their history.
