Save A Doe Chlo, the hero to all deers!

Now, this is a rare case when Disney’s live-action version of a beloved animated film is actually better than the original. Because in Disney’s live-action Bambi, we aren’t knocked over with the sads by hearing Bambi’s mom get shot into the heavens by a hunter. Instead, we get to watch her get saved by a truth-talking deer savior from the heavens!

The deer savior, Chloe Dorsey, told the tale on her Instagram, writing that she was on her morning run in Stone Mountain Park, near Atlanta, GA, when she came across a stuck deer, seen above doing the position I do against a glory hole (I’M SORRY!!!). Chloe stopped everything and immediately went into Captain-Save-A-Doe mode. The “Oh, deer!” moment happened when the deer got caught in a fence. Chloe helped get the deer out, and after running free for a bit, the deer got trapped in another fence. I feel that deer. Because getting stuck in a fence, then experiencing a few moments of beautiful freedom before getting stuck in another fence is like me blissfully leaving a horrifying Monday, and thinking that things are going to be wonderful and beautiful before getting stuck in a horrifying Tuesday.

Chloe, being the modern-day Artemis that she is, decided to help the stuck deer again, and gave us some A+++ commentary while making her way to the doe who do’h’d herself.

“Bitch, you done got stuck again? Oh hell naw. This girl. I swear. This girl here. What is wrong with this girl? You need to learn how to jump, boo. Girl, what is going to happen when I’m not here?! Why didn’t you jump? Girl! And, y’all just sitting around looking, not showing her how to jump. Jesus! Girl, why didn’t you jump? You gonna jump next time.  I’m going to help you one more time.”

Here’s Save A Doe Chlo and the doe she saved TWICE starring in my favorite movie of the year!

I know Chloe said that this is the last time she saves that deer, but I hope not. I need an entire series, because this movie has everything: riveting performances, excellent dialogue, intrigue, comedy, action, magnificent cinematography, and an extremely artistic, G-rated Blair Witch-type ending. Go ahead and put February 9, 2020 down on your calendar as “just another Sunday” because every Oscar has already been won by Save A Doe Chlo!
