Nicole Murphy Wishes She Never Kissed Lela Rochon’s Husband

Wendy Williams is a journalist. That means that she will often interview people with whom she may not see eye-to-eye (see: Omarosa). And so it’s interesting that she had Nicole Murphy on her show considering Nicole’s past with hopping on married men and Wendy’s recent issues with her once-married-man hopping on someone else. But that’s Wendy: digging deep into the issues!

Page Six says that Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife was on The Wendy Williams Show and talked about that whole drama where she was caught kissing the fully-married director, Antoine Fuqua. If you forgot, Nicole and Antoine were photographed kissing in Italy, where they both were for a film festival. At the time, Nicole said that she wasn’t going to go “into the entire situation” but she claimed that she thought Antoine was single. Antoine and his wife, Lela Rochon, have been married for like twenty years. Wendy even talked about it on her show back then:

Nicole’s appearance on Wendy was teased on Twitter and the interview is supposedly focused on fitness?

But listen, all we care about is the drama, so what did she have to say about that? Nicole said this about the pictures:

“It was a frozen in time thing. Trust me I wish it didn’t happen. It was a moment where I should’ve thought more through the situation. Make better judgments. It’s something I apologized for.”

Nicole also told Wendy that her original statement where she said they were just family friends did not come from her mouth:

“I did not put out that statement. I did not release that statement, Wendy.”

Who did? The ghost of your libido? Nicole then put out a PSA to women everyone by saying to do “your research” before kissing a man:

“At the moment, maybe I had a different impression of [their marriage].”

Nicole told Wendy that she didn’t break up Antoine’s marriage and that she and Lela are also not close friends despite it being reported they were.

Wendy is a salty ass lady and she wanted to properly have Nicole repent for her sins, intentional or not. Since Wendy’s studio audience isn’t big enough for a substantial Walk Of Atonement (but they are properly ruthless) she had to settle for the next best thing. She told Nicole to look directly into the camera and apologize to Lela. Nicole looked into the camera and said:

“Darling, it was a mistake. I apologize.”

Welp, so are we done with dragging Nicole Murphy? Probably not since LisaRaye McCoy hasn’t had her say yet. So let’s see when Wendy Williams gets to the other side of her journalistic delve into infidelity and has LisaRaye on the show to talk shit about home-wrecking skanks.
