Cardi B Affirmed Her Gang Affiliation After Being Identified As A Blood By Tekashi 69

There’s an old saying, “snitches get stitches”, and if it holds true, Tekashi 69, AKA 6ix9ine, AKA RainBro-Brite’s plastic surgeon is going to have quite a job on his hands trying to match up the lines when he’s trying to stitch all those hideous tattoos of his back up. The Painted Goblin of Clown Town has been in court testifying against the men who allegedly kidnapped and robbed him last year, and he’s singing like a rainbow lorikeet. According to TMZ, he’s even got Cardi B caught it in this mess, claiming she’s a member of the notorious street gang (and really, is there any other kind? You never hear about lawn gangs) the Bloods. An accusation she both denied, and confirmed.

Here’s actual footage of Tekashi’s testimony from yesterday.

Tekashi, whose given name is Daniel Hernandez, is in his third day of testifying against Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison, the two men implicated in his kidnapping who are currently on trial for racketeering. TMZ says he’s cooperating as part of a plea deal for his own case in which he is facing a minimum sentence of 47 years in prison. While Daniel Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance Hernandez was testifying, Aljermiah’s attorney asked him if he was copying Cardi B by working with known gang members. Instead of saying, “Cardi who?”, he wound up testifying to her affiliation with the Bloods.

11:40 AM PT — Cardi B has also been roped into Tekashi’s case — during cross examination, he confirmed she was a member of the Bloods.

TBH, the reference to Cardi seemed totally gratuitous — under cross-examination, Aljermiah Mack’s attorney asked Tekashi if he had copied the blueprint to Cardi’s success by using gang members in his projects. Tekashi denied it.

Cardi’s first reaction to being named in court was not only appropriate, it was sublime – as anything Keke Palmer touches is perfection.

How meta would it be if Keke tweeted her own meme at Cardi for dragging her into the mess as well. TMZ also says “A rep for Cardi has denied the claim she’s a member of the Bloods, telling TMZ, ‘this is not true'”. I guess Sheplers Western Wear was just having a sale this day.

After the initial denials, Cardi seemed to have change of heart, because the tweeted a correction. I’m guessing that “rep” was a suit from Atlantic Records.

So she’s affiliated, just not with the particular set being discussed in Tekashi’s testimony. The good folks at Atlantic should remember that celebrities with gang affiliations are nothing new. It’s true that historically, they needed to be out of the game for a number of years, and have paid their debts to society before being given a cooking show with Snoop Dogg (oh, you didn’t know Martha Stewart was a member of the notorious lawn gang the Kashmere Killaz?), but times have changed . One need look no further than the highest office in the land to find a den of gangsters and low-life criminals!

On a final note, somebody PLEASE give these courtroom sketch artists a raise and a reality show!
