Britney Spears’ Conservatorship Battle Is Reportedly About To Get Messy, And Her Dad Will Not Be Charged For Fight With Her Son
The Britney Spears conservatorship drama is about to get messier, apparently. At least, that’s what sources are saying. Even though Jamie Spears has been cleared of those child abuse allegations filed against him after a physical altercation with his own grandson, it seems that a fight over the conservatorship is about to get real heated and Britney is not on his side.
Britney Spears technically has a new conservator in Jodi Montgomery–at least of her person. Her dad still controls those dollar bills. That change was made because Jamie temporarily stepped down as her conservator after Kevin Federline got a restraining order against Jamie on behalf of his sons Sean Preston and Jayden Jaymes. Jamie was accused of breaking down a door to harshly shake Sean Preston. But the police have looked into it and RadarOnline says that he’s in the clear. They got a statement from Ventura County District Attorney, Gregory D. Totten:
“Criminal charges will not be filed against James Spears, of Westlake Village… The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office investigated allegations involving child abuse by Mr. Spears… After reviewing the evidence, there is insufficient proof that a criminal offense was committed by Mr. Spears.”
However, that restraining order against him is still up and running, so don’t think that Sean and Grandpappy are getting together anytime soon. Not to mention that KFed has got those kids 90% of the time now and is not pro-Daddy Spears. Which is something he has in common with Britney.
TMZ says that Brit is expected in court later today for a “conservatorship battle“. Apparently multiple sources are telling them that court will be: “a fireworks show.”
Sources tell them that Lynne Spears is back in the ring and will be asking the judge to terminate Jamie as conservator of all things Britney–not just the person. TMZ hears that Lynne believes Jamie is no longer fit to take care of their daughter.
Apparently the sources say we should really look for the investigative report to come out about the conservatorship. The judge has reportedly seen it and it puts Britney’s physician, Dr. Timothy Benson, and Jamie “under a microscope.” Dr. Timothy died unexpectedly at the end of August at the age 48.
TMZ has also heard that Britney has not spoken to her dad since the Sean Preston fight and there’s a “strong likelihood” she will show up to court and let everyone know she’s not about her dad. She’s also been said to have reconnected and gotten close with her mom over the last 6 months. But TMZ also hears that while Lynne is ready to fight for her daughter, she’s also not looking to become conservator.
And because the sources just do not stop flowing over at TMZ offices, another, who is called “someone involved in the case,” says that we can expect some “major surprises” when court is in session. Listen, the only surprise that I want in court is Britney standing up on the table and doing a fully-choreographed routine, lip-syncing along to a new surprise single she’s releasing that coincides with the court case along with a complete pop album full of dance bangers. Fingers-crossed!
