Demi Lovato Follows In Gigi Hadid’s Footsteps By Having An Instagram Romance With A Former “Bachelorette” Contestant

September 16, 2019 / Posted by:

Demi Lovato continues to display her unedited, bikini clad, natural body to the world, and it’s garnered her the attention of one of her TV crushes. Demi’s haunches caught the eye of former Bachelorette contestant Mike Johnson. According to People, Demi and Mike have ripped a page right out of the Gigi Hadid Handbook Of Bachelorette Instagram Hookups and are “having fun and getting to know each other”, after a whirlwind romance consisting entirely of Instagram comments. Most recently, Mike commented on Demi’s unedited bikini post saying, “look at me like that again… Love yaself *smirk emoji, *person raising both hands in celebration; medium skin tone emoji”. Isn’t it romantic? Also, what does it mean?

Last month, Mike told People TV that he thinks she’s sexy and has “a nice little booty on her”, which is basically the highest compliment you can pay a woman. Move over Gigi and TylerJCameron3, Demi and MikeJohnson1_ are showing us what true love really means!

After Lovato shared the swimsuit photo alongside an empowering caption about appreciating one’s body, imperfections and all, Johnson commented, “Look at me like that again … Love yaself.”

In response, Lovato sent a flirty kissy and tongue-sticking-out emoji, prompting excitement from fans in the comments.

Apparently, Demi made the first move while Mike was a contestant on The Bachelorette, “gushing on her Instagram Story at one point, ‘Mike I accept your rose’”.

In another exchange, after Johnson tweeted wondering where his “future wife” was, Lovato wrote, “I’M RIGHT HERE MIKE I’M RIGHT HERE BOO MY MOM ALREADY LOVES YOU TOO.”

This was the picture that inspired Mike’s Shakespearean expression of ardor.

This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got. I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day. It’s such a great feeling to be back in tv/film while not stressing myself with a strenuous workout schedule before 14 hour days, or depriving myself from a real birthday cake rather than opting for watermelon & whip cream with candles because I was terrified of REAL cake and was miserable on some crazy diet shit. Anyway, here’s me, RAW, REAL! And I love me. And you should love you too! Now back to the studio.. I’m working on an anthem.. 🙏🏼🙌🏼🤷🏻‍♀️ also. Just so everyone’s clear.. I’m not stoked on my appearance BUT I am appreciative of it and sometimes that’s the best I can do. I hope to inspire someone to appreciate their body today too. 💗 #nationalcelulliteday #celluLIT 🔥🔥🔥

As we know, commenting on a woman’s body on Instagram can only lead to one thing. A double date!

Fans were sent into overdrive again when Johnson commented on a recent post from fellow Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron, jokingly saying, “So if we do this dbl date, your shirt stays on.”

“I think he’s talking about a double date with him and Demi Lovato,” wrote one, while hundreds of others tagged Lovato in their response.

As far as we know, Demi and Mike’s relationship is still primarily Instagram thirst-based, but a source did say that “They’ve been talking privately for a bit and hanging out”. So who knows, maybe that double date will lead to a double wedding. Live on ABC! Every single producer on The Bachelor franchise is probably furiously masturbating at the prospect this very moment.
