There was a time when Angelina Jolie was all about leather pants, blood vial necklaces, making out on red carpets, and bad-ass dragon tattoos. Then she started growing her family, and before you knew it, she was Angelina Jolie, wrangler of six little kids and Brad Pitt. But now Angelina is without Brad, and her 2/3 of her kids are now teenagers, so what’s Angelina’s life like now? Watching your teenagers freak out over the newest tacky hypebeast footwear or YouTuber wedding might make some parents grab a bottle of wine and escape into a Love It or List It marathon. But not Angelina, who says her teens are making her nostalgic for her own teen years.
During an interview with HELLO! magazine, they mention that she’s started a new chapter in her life that began after she dropped 18-year-old Maddox off at Yonsei University in South Korea last month. Angelina was sad to say goodbye to her first child, but it sounds like she’s not exactly trying to prevent the rest of them (15-year-old Pax, 14-year-old Zahara, 13-year-old Shiloh, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox) from growing up.
“When your children are little you feel more ‘mommy’. When they are teenagers you start to remember yourself as a teenager. You see them going to punk clubs and you wonder why you can’t go. I’m in this fun moment where I’m rediscovering myself.”
I bet Angelina snaps out of her teenager envy fantasy real fast when she remembers that part of being a teenager meant having to answer calls from Jon Voight.
But that’s sweet that Angie’s teens are making her feel envious of their youth. I just hope she doesn’t get carried away with it. Because it’s a slippery slope to becoming Regina George’s Mom. The last thing Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox want to see when their friends are over is Angelina shimmy into the video game lounge in a black Juicy Couture track suit, holding a tray of Polar Seltzers, asking if anyone wants a White Claw instead.
Maddox is lucky he doesn’t have to worry about that. However, he’s not free of any parental awkwardness just because he’s halfway across the world. In Touch got their hands on a video of Maddox being asked about the current status between himself and his estranged dad, Brad Pitt. As far as any of us knew, Maddox didn’t want anything to do with Brad, and that was that. Well, that door isn’t as closed as we thought. Maddox was asked if Brad was going to come and visit, and he replied, “Um, I don’t know about that.” When asked if his relationship with his dad was over, he answered, “Whatever happens, happens.” Brad is currently in Japan, which is next door neighbors with South Korea. Hmmm…I wonder if he’ll pop by.
Do you think Brad Pitt was bothered by his son’s harsh comments?https://t.co/uplODvCPAi

It’s probably not a stretch to say that Brad won’t be making any surprise dorm-room visits. Brad recently admitted that he started attending AA meetings to deal with his drinking mistakes, and that he doesn’t drink anymore. Maddox doesn’t seem terribly excited to reunite with Brad, and Brad has probably been warned by his AA sponsor not to pull any dumb stunts like surprising the kid that likes him the least. For now, there’s probably a greater chance Angelina will be the one to surprise Maddox at school. Angie, just remember – he’s 18. Try to knock first and count to at least 20 before you bring in the White Claw.
