Kaitlynn Carter And Brody Jenner Talked About Their Open Marriage And Being Too Busy (HA!) To Get Married For Real

Last night on The Hills: New Beginnings, Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter discussed their fake marriage and why they decided to have a marriage ceremony but not actually get legally married (SPOILER ALERT: for attention). They also talked about the rumor that they have an open marriage and that they may be not ready for children. Which at the time, felt very offensive to Kaitlynn, but considering she is now living with and publicly dry humping Miley Cyrus and Brody is now dating Josie Canseco, things might have worked out for the best.

According to People:

The season finale of The Hills: New Beginnings shed some light on stars Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter’s short-lived union.

On Monday’s episode, the couple clashed with their costars over rumors about their relationship. Ashley Wahler led the charge, questioning Carter’s desire to have children because she believed Jenner was sleeping around with other women.

It turns out Brody was doing other women, but Kaitlynn was always with him, partaking. Brody had already talked about his love of threesomes, so this wasn’t shocking news. Kaitlynn ended up explaining the rumors to Ashley Wahler:

“So does Brody have sex with other women?” Wahler asked.

“Not without me being involved, okay?” she said “Everything with me and Brody is under my control, let’s put it that way.”

“There’s not one part of our relationship that I’m ashamed of or that I would do differently,” she added to the camera. “I just think that the world isn’t necessarily ready to hear about all that. Not everybody is so open-minded or accepting of other people. But as long as what we’re doing is working for us, that’s the most important thing.”

Kaitlynn also went into why their marriage was a fake non-marriage, with a wedding ceremony in Indonesia but no papers signed in the US. It’s obvious that Brody went to his former stepmother’s academy, The Kris Jenner School of Faking Shit For Money And Attention. Brody seems to have graduated with a 4.0 for the fake wedding nonsense he spewed out:

“We met with attorneys and s— like that two weeks before we left for Indonesia, went and got married in Indonesia, and every since then we’ve both been incredibly busy. We just haven’t gotten around to going to do it in the whole courthouse or however we’re going to decide to get legally married,” he said. “Like I said, whether you put it on a piece of paper or have just a celebration in Indonesia, we’re married and she’s my wife and I love her to death. … We’ve just got to get some things sorted out.”

I will say the editors deserve an Emmy for some of the foreshadowing that came out of this episode. For example, Spencer Pratt describes Brody as a wrecking ball. Kaitynn also has a moment at dinner when she casually says that all women are lesbians. Foreshadowing the human wrecking ball that is Miley Cyrus.

That said, I’m happy that MTV has renewed The Hills: New Beginnings for a second season as we can learn a lot about love, marriage (fake or otherwise), and most importantly: christian pop music.
