Bill Skarsgård Confirms That He’s Got A Kid

If there’s a member of the Skarsgård family that has a secret that they desperately want to share with one other person, it looks like 29-year-old Bill Skarsgård is the one to spill it to. Because Bill is really good at keeping quiet. Like how he kept his lips closed about his nearly one-year-old daughter.

Bill spilled the beans during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night Bill was there to promote IT Chapter 2. Stephen Colbert wondered how terrified children are of Bill at any given time. Bill said that kids aren’t that scared of him. Take his SURPRISE SECRET DAUGHTER, for example.

Stephen: “Are children frightened of you?”

Bill: “No, no, no. They’re pretty good.”

Stephen: “Do you have children?”

Bill: “I have, one. Yeah…She’s eleven months old.”

Bill then went on to elaborate that his daughter isn’t really scared of him, because he’s received so much IT-themed merch over the years, a lot of which has made its way to her room. Things like Pennywise teddy bears. Well that’s hardly traumatic. She’ll only need therapy if she suddenly goes into her room and sees a red balloon tied to a Fisher Price My First Storm Drain playset.

Page Six has a bit of information on Bill’s child, and it’s not exactly that much of a secret. The mom is Bill’s 34-year-old longtime girlfriend, Swedish actress Alida Morberg. A quick peek at Alida’s Instagram account shows she wasn’t exactly hiding that she was baking a little skars in her gården. Like this one of Alida at her baby shower:

She also showed off her baby bump at a Beyoncé concert:

Bill’s IT Chapter 2 co-star Bill Hader also let it slip in an interview last month that Bill’s girlfriend was due to give birth to his first kid during filming.

“He’s a wonderful guy. He was about to have his first kid while we were shooting, and he was excited about that. I have three kids, so we were talking about that a lot, movies, music we liked and things like that.”

And last year at San Diego Comic Con he confirmed he was going to be a father, but declined to comment on it further, because “it’s very personal.

Even if that baby was a surprise, it was good timing. Bill was in the middle of filming when his girlfriend gave birth, and wrapped filming with a newborn. His face was always completely covered with a thick layer of white makeup, which means he only had to hear the words, “God, you look exhausted” once a day from his makeup artist.
