Tiffany Haddish Says That Kevin Hart Has Started Walking Again

The Oscar controversy, constant side eye from the LGBTQ community and a major car accident are probably the “things that come in threes’” Kevin Hart wishes he could put behind him immediately. Well, there’s some good news for Kevin. After being in the hospital for a week, he’s finally walking.

Now, if you’re thinking that Kev is about to jump out of his hospital bed, run to the nearest stage and use all of the shit he’s been through in a new Netflix special titled STOP Laughing At My Pain please think again. More than likely, Kev will be out of commission for a while. Unfortunately, many people are probably letting out huge sighs of relief because as long as we can’t hear from him he can’t piss us off (which he’s done quite often this year). But overall, Kev is coming along nicely, at least that’s what his friend Tiffany Haddish is stating. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in New York City (via People) she gave a quick update.

“He’s okay. He’s doing fine. As far as I know, from the last I heard, he’s fine.”

The actress, 39, added, “He’s already walking. He’s good,” noting that Hart’s “back gonna hurt.”

Well, the term “walking” may be a bit misleading. TMZ reports that although he began his physical therapy this weekend Kev has a very long way to go, possibly months, before he’ll be back to his normal self.

While he may be taking steps in his road to full health, make no mistake … we’re told Kevin is in excruciating pain as he heals, but that he’s also maintaining a relatively positive mood.

It’s kind of ironic that Kev starred in The Upside earlier this year where he had to take care of someone and now HE’s the one that needs to be taken care of. Now, since he has nothing but time on his hands, maybe he’ll sit and reflect on everything he did wrong this year and find ways to make it right for 2020. I’m sure he’s ready for this year to be over just as much as the rest of us.
