Many a celebrity won’t even think about posting a picture on Instagram before sending it to pay a visit to Dr. Photoshop and a follow-up with Dr. Filter. But apparently not Demi Lovato. On a recent trip to Bora Bora Demi literally showed her entire ass and invites anyone who doesn’t like it to get in line and pucker up.
At first Demi posted a sexy snap in a two piece leopard print bikini, thirst trappin’ for her IG followers:
After posting this Demi began to feel bad about not sharing what her body actually looks like, admitting that the first set of pics had been edited. So she decided to hit her followers with the remix and posted an unedited photo serving cake, cake and more cake. And in a lengthy caption she explained why she was doing it with the brand new hashtag I fully support #celluLIT.
I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got. I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day
Demi got much praise from her followers for being brave enough to post un-retouched photos in a time where people would rather post pictures of themselves with animated dog ears than show their cellulite. A trend even began on Instagram where followers posted their own un-retouched photos in an act of solidarity with Demi. And of course there have been a few trolls who are gagging at seeing cellulite because it’s too real for them. But then again they may also be gagging because they’re hungry since most of them have been eating Tic Tacs and packets of Splenda since 8:30 this morning.
