Judge Mathis Will Not Face Charges For Alleged Spitting Incident

It’s looking like Judge Mathis won’t have to see the inside of a courtroom for allegedly spitting on a valet outside a Detroit restaurant, as all charges have been dropped. And people are saying it’s because the valet stopped talking to authorities. Well, that was anti-climactic.

When the valet claimed he had Judge Mathis’ spit on his shirt and was going to get it tested for DNA, I was hoping they’d take the results to Maury Povich who’d say something like, “Judge Mathis…you are NOT the Spitter!” Such a missed opportunity!

According to TMZ:

Judge Mathis won’t face criminal charges for allegedly spitting on a parking valet, and the alleged victim is clamming up … TMZ has learned.

On top of the reported DNA threat and the valet claiming he had witnesses, there was a video that showed Judge Mathis leaning into the car with the valet in it.

The valet clamming up is an abrupt change of course … as we reported, he initially wanted a DNA test to prove Mathis spit on him, filed a police report for assault and his legal team claimed there were at least 2 witnesses who can back up his story.

Not only was I hoping for a Maury crossover, I was also hoping for a courtroom TV crossover. Judge Judy berating Judge Mathis would have brought me almost too much joy.
