Britney Spears’ Dad Could Be Removed As Her Conservator Because Of Those Child Abuse Allegations

That whole custody thing between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline was actually a whole lot messier than we thought, but not because of either of them, actually. It’s reportedly because of her dad, Jamie Spears, and their son, Sean Preston. It was that altercation between Jamie and his grandson and the restraining order that followed which caused the custodial arrangement to go into the official and legal domain. But the thing is, it’s much less 70/30 and closer to 90/10–all in an effort to keep the kids away from grandpa. The grandpa who is still under investigation for his conservatorship and probably shouldn’t be allegedly violently shaking teenagers. Big yikes all around.

So the story is that 13-year-old Sean and his 67-year-old grandfather got into an argument at Jamie’s condo, which led to Jamie breaking down a door The Shining-style before “violently” shaking the kid. Britney supposedly called Kevin to take the kids even though she had custody that day. People says that on August 25, Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Kaplan, then filed a police report about this and requested a restraining order on behalf of the boys. The restraining order was granted and the police are investigating. This incident is what led to the custody filing a few days later. Kaplan said:

“Britney did the right thing and removed the children and took them out of there.”

People also says that Kaplan said the agreement has Britney seeing the kids much less than 30% of the time. Kaplan said Kevin has custody of their sons for “closer to 90” percent of the time. Which is apparently how it’s been for “almost the last year.” Also Britney’s visits are still supervised.

“The custody remains supervised… It was important to Kevin that regardless of this event that the kids still had continuing and meaningful contact with their mother.”

The Blast says this is probably going to blow up for Jamie in more ways than one. Sure, having a 13-year-old take out a restraining order against you is a problem in itself, but Jamie is under investigation for the conservatorship. The thing is, it doesn’t look good that you’re in charge of someone’s life if you can’t keep your cool around a 13-year-old without attacking them. Usually.

I guess time will tell how this shakes out for Britney, poor girl. But I do have one question: where was her boyfriend, Sam Asghari? Was he not home? He’s a fitness model! He couldn’t fight off one angry pepaw for Sean? Come on, Sam, pull your weight.
