Open Post: Hosted By This Reporter Coming Pretty Close To Being Hit By Lightning

Reporters have it tough. Not only do they have to wear an inordinate amount of product and put up with the occasional insanely racist comment from a co-anchor, they have to brave the forces of nature! Just ask Fox 10 Phoenix reporter Matt Rodewald. HuffPo reports that Matt was out on the street to report on the thunderstorm the city was experiencing on Wednesday when Mother Nature flexed on him.

Here’s the clip

“SCARY!” the channel captioned a video of the strike!

Ya think, Fox 10 Phoenix social media manager? I’d be shocked if Matt didn’t follow through into his trousers after that brush with death!

Matt knows the show must go on so he went back on and kept reporting. He’s a brave bitch because I would have sought out the nearest storm shelter if that happened to me. And those kids trying to play a JV basketball game that night would just have to deal with the middle-aged adult male rushing in to cry and scream under the collapsible bleachers in the gym.
