Gigi Hadid And Tyler Cameron Made Their Debut As A Couple At An MTV VMAs After-Party

Gigi Hadid barely made it out of Mykonos with her life (assuming that is, she has a 1st edition Life Magazine and it was not among the items stolen from her villa while she was out clubbing), which is perhaps why she’s not wasting one more second of her precious youth. As soon as she returned to the relative safety of New York City, she hit the town with her new gentleman friend, former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron. Now, according to People Magazine, Gigi and Tyler have made things official by sharing a kiss at a VMAs after-party, which is a time honored right of passage for any celebrity couple. Remember when Liz Taylor and Richard Burton publicly kissed for the first time at Peter O’Toole’s 1964 VMAs after-party?

According to People:

The casual couple appeared to change their status to “in a relationship” by hitting the 2019 VMAs afterparty circuit together, leaving Bachelor Nation heartbroken that Cameron is off the market.

After walking the VMAs red carpet with her sister Bella, Gigi, who wore a nude pants look by Tom Ford, had another plus-one at her side at the Republic Records party at the Moxy Hotel in N.Y.C. (That would be Cameron.)

Gigi was on hand to celebrate with her close pal Taylor Swift, when Cameron joined in on the fun.

According to E! News, Swift gave Tyler “a big hug” when he arrived, and “Tyler and Gigi shared a kiss.”

As our resident Bachelor scholar Kristian pointed out, Gigi and Tyler met on Instagram, much the same as Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward did. Only when Paul and Joanne first slid into each other’s DMs, Paul didn’t have to suffer the indignity of going by the handle PaulLNewman3 as poor Tyler has had to do.

What can I say, they were simpler times. Gigi and Tyler aren’t Instagram official yet, which is the modern day equivalent of being married, divorced, and remarried, but a source assures us that their relationship is very real.

A source recently told PEOPLE that the duo is “being purposefully coy,” when it comes to the status of their relationship.

“Their dates are definitely real and he’s having a good time,” the source added.

I remember Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson being coy at the beginning of their relationship too. After all, Tom was still officially married to his ex-wife at the time their romance blossomed. Given the fact that Gigi and Tyler are following so closely in the footsteps of other epic Hollywood romances, it seems inevitable that theirs is a union destined to stand the test of time.
