Open Post: Hosted By The Live-Action “The Lady And The Tramp” Trailer

Disney’s fully committed to producing “live-action” remakes of their classic films. Here’s the trailer for Lady and the Tramp. I’m not sure how live-action this is when those dogs have obviously uncanny valley weirdness mouths. Just like the recent remake of The Lion King. How was that live-action when those real animals had speech? I’m not sitting here thinking Mrs. Potts and Chip should have actually been an anthropomorphic teapot and cup but you know what I mean, right? UNNECESSARY REMAKE LIES.

And this trailer…

Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux voice Lady and the Tramp respectively and the film also features the vocal talents of Sam Elliot, Ashley Jensen, Janelle Monae and Benedict Wong. It’s 2019, which means the Siamese cats look like they’re going to be sidelined in the Problematic Cartoon Penalty box alongside Brer Rabbit, Speedy Gonzalez and Pepe LePew.

The flick, however, won’t be premiering in theaters. It’s going to be on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+ beginning November 12th. Hey, at least there are no superheroes, right?
