Some Popeyes Locations Have Run Out Of Chicken Sandwiches And It’s Causing Nationwide Panic!

The chicken sandwich wars RAGES ON, but Popeyes’ mission for chicken sandwich domination may have hit a wall, because some customers aren’t able to get their mouths around that brick of deep fried carb goodness. I’m not sure Amber Alerts can be released for a chicken sandwich, but it looks like we are very close to trying. I mean, we’ve already had people calling 911 for the very serious crime of Taco Bell running out of tacos.

According to Buzzfeed

In case you hadn’t heard, Popeyes recently released a chicken sandwich. And in the very short time it’s been around, there’s been A LOT of hype.

And now people are actually having trouble finding the new chicken sandwich at their nearest Popeyes locations — like, people have literally been calling to ask if they’re in stock…

Why do I have a feeling that Chick-Fil-A will soon set up stands outside of all of those Popeyes?

I can understand this panic as there is nothing more disappointing than thinking you’re going to get a fried chicken sandwich only to find out Doug the manager couldn’t order the proper amount of fried chicken patties. It feels like simple enough math (especially when the internet is melting down about the lack of chicken), but somehow Popeyes has managed to not receive the memo. Unless….. this is all planned to create even more headlines and get even more attention. Yeah, that’s probably it.

That said, in a time of crisis, Mister Rogers always said, “look for the helpers,” and the internet has been full of helpers during these tough times by letting the public know which Popeyes to protest against their lack of chicken sandwiches. And which not to.

We live in a crazy time when people take their fast food very, very seriously. People are willing to commit armed robbery for some Burger King frieshave sex in a Waffle House parking lot while wearing a burger for a shoe, and even wear Burger King cologne and KFC nail polish. Hopefully, Popeyes will realize the seriousness of this crisis and get their act together and just order more damn chicken!
