Ellen DeGeneres And Pink Have Joined Elton John In Defending Prince Harry And Duchess Meghan’s Use Of Private Jets
The hottest trend this summer is literal heat (thanks, climate change!). But coming in a close second is the recent trend of analyzing Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s private jet use. On one side are the haters who are side-eyeing their private flights. On the other side are famous people who are sticking up for Harry and Meghan and their right to fly private. Ellen DeGeneres and Pink are the latest famous people to jump on that bandwagon.
Elton John already explained on Twitter that Harry and Meghan’s most recent private jet trip to France was on his private plane. He also explained that he and David Furnish donated money to offset the carbon footprint caused by the flight, and slapped at the British press for picking apart Harry and Meghan in the same way they hounded the late Princess Diana. Ellen clearly agrees with Elton, and she posted the following pro-Harry and Meghan sentiment on Twitter yesterday.

Ellen didn’t specifically say the words, “And lay off them about creating tons of carbon emissions.” Which is probably a good thing. Because it might have caused people to remember that Ellen has been known to charter gas-guzzling yachts, which could turn into her own Daily Mail article about hypocritical eco-activism. And all those gorillas in Ellen’s wildlife charity don’t need to start nervously worrying that she’s just keeping them around to make matching gorilla fur coats and driving slippers for her and Portia de Rossi.
Coming in closely behind Ellen was Pink, who also had something to say about the Harry and Meghan hate. UsWeekly says she also got on a Twitter soapbox yesterday, except rather than defend Harry and Meghan, Pink decided to congratulate everyone that has defended Harry and Meghan.
I’m happy to see people coming to the defense of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The way people treat her is the most public form of bullying I have seen in a while. It’s out of control. Let’s all be a bit kinder, huh? Let’s show our children that it’s cool to be kind.

Usually when Pink hops on social media to slap back at the haters, it’s to deal with mommy shamers. So this is just a little off-brand for Pink. I hope she wasn’t too confused when she decided to leap into action. Wait, so are people mad because Meghan let her baby fly the plane? Or like, did she feed him airplane peanuts or was the baby seen smoking in the bathroom?
