Heather Locklear Pleaded No Contest To Battery And Has Been Sentenced To A Mental Health Facility

Heather Locklear, 57, has been spiraling for a while now, but her bottom might have been hit last year. Two separate incidents (one in February and one in June) found her reportedly drunk off her ass and trying to MMA- fight the cops and EMTs. Heather reportedly went to rehab in March, recently went BACK to rehab in May, and has now pleaded “no contest” to battery charges. The court is sending her to a mental health facility. This is going to make a HELLUVA sequence in Heather’s eventual Lifetime bio. I hope she plays herself because we need her on TV again.

In February, Police showed up to her house to arrest her for allegedly beating up her then-boyfriend Chris Heisser. That’s when she reportedly got physical with first responders, threatened to get her gun and kill all of them, called them “fuckers” and wished death on the cops’ children before threatening to burn the police station down.

In June, she was arrested whilst drunk again and reportedly karate-kicked a cop as well the medics who were trying to put her in an ambulance to get her medically checked out before she went to jail.

TMZ reports that the Ian McKellan of trashy 80s/90s TV drama (he played icons Magneto and Gandalf, she played icons Sammy Jo and Amanda Woodward, it’s the same) pleaded no contest to “8 misdemeanors, including 6 involving battery on a police officer or EMT.” The judge kept her out of prison but she’s definitely going to be somewhere with locks on the doors and crappy food, and she’ll hopefully get the help she needs.

The judge decided the appropriate sentence was 30 days in a residential mental health facility. The judge stayed a 120 jail sentence. Of course, that means Heather must complete the 30 days of treatment or else she could face the jail sentence.

Heather has to enter into care by September 6, or she’s going to jail. She’ll also be on “informal probation” (aka unsupervised) for three years, and can’t possess “weapons, non-prescribed medications or alcohol.”

Sources say that Locklear wants to take responsibility for what she did and get help so this won’t ever happen again. Police and paramedics all over LA must be breathing a sigh of relief right now.
